Before long, you end up forcing your way through a trash chute to stay alive—only for the situation to get worse when you’re trapped in the basement. How to Get Out of the Trash Room in Unhinged
- Move to the right side of the screen and click just above the edge of the dumpster so Ava can crawl out of the trash.
- Expect a few jump scares as you push forward. You’ll come face-to-face with a dead mouse in a trap and a creepy mannequin. Fortunately, Claire keeps calling out to help you continue—try the door next by clicking it to see whether it opens.
- The door won’t open; it’s locked. Turn around and look up toward the top of the wall—there’s a vent on the left side of the screen that you can climb through.
- Claire loses connection and can’t speak to Ava anymore, but she sends a text saying she’s coming to rescue you. Click beneath the vent again to keep progressing.
- While Claire’s on the way, Ava climbs toward the boxes beneath the vent. Click under the vent again to scale up onto the boxes.
- Click the left side to remove the cover.
- Your only option now is to look down the vent and crawl inside.
- As you go partway down, you’ll spot another vent grate. Click it to knock it loose, then crawl out of the vent into the next room.
How to Get Out of the Security Room in Unhinged
- After Ava drops down from the ceiling, she catches her breath and looks up to find a generator she can push. Turning it on powers the security cameras and monitors.
- Once the system is active, the killer appears on the monitors. He also uses his phone to contact you and reveals that Ben is the killer.
- The generator emits a beep, and Ben realizes where the sound is coming from—so he’s already heading your way.
- Grab the nail gun sitting on the shelf behind the toolbox. You’ll want it ready when Ben arrives.
How to Get Out of the Fake Apartment in Unhinged
- Behind you, there’s a door marked with “3B.” Inside is a replica of Ava’s own apartment. The killer catches you and nails your hands to the table, trapping you in place.
- Click the nails on Ava’s right hand first, then the left hand, to free both.
- With both hands released, Ava rips the nail from her shoulder and throws it onto the table with the rest.
- After that, pick the nail gun back up.
- To fire the nail gun, pry the nails off the table. Click the nail on the right.
- Ava pulls them free and loads them into the nail gun.
- Ben walks in without realizing what’s happened right as the nail gun is loaded.
- Aim for his head and land the shot in his eye. After a moment he goes down, but he appears to still be awake.
- Click the floor beside him to get closer and hit him again so you can pick up the keys.
- Ava leaves no nails behind. She follows up by striking him in the groin, then the chest, and finally fires a last shot to the head.
- She automatically bends down to collect the keys.
- Click the doorway to exit the apartment area and return to the security room.
- Back in the security room, Ava stumbles and falls onto the tool bench—then she hears Claire’s voice.
- Claire is on the other side of the door outside the security room. Click below the door handle to move closer.
- When Ava reaches the door, unlock the top latch first. Then deal with the lock above the handle. Finally, try turning the door handle.
- The door remains locked and won’t open—however, Ava already has the keys. Put the key into the lock and twist.
- Congratulations—you made it out alive.
