Black Ops 2 Tranzit Guide: Get Galvaknuckles and Dominate the Fog

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Zombies, the Galvaknuckles are one of the most important tools for surviving high rounds in Tranzit, especially with the constant threat of the fog. Denizens in the mist can tear into you fast, but the Galvaknuckles let you instantly kill them, making movement through dangerous areas much more manageable—without needing to rely on the bus.

You can earn the Galvaknuckles for 6,000 Points, but first you’ll need to know exactly where the Hatch spawns and where to use it inside the Diner. Here’s the quick, practical walkthrough to grab this melee weapon.

There’s also a separate Tranzit easter egg tied to Richtofen’s Tower of Babble, which calls for acquiring the Jet Gun and then using EMP Grenades. If that’s the route you want to take, there’s a dedicated guide for that sequence as well.

To reach the Galvaknuckles, you’ll need the Hatch, a buildable component that appears in one of four locations. While the same Hatch can be used to climb up to the bus roof, it isn’t the best use of your time—this is one of those moments where it’s better to focus on getting the Galvaknuckles themselves.

How to Get the Galvaknuckles on Tranzit in Black Ops 2 Zombies

Step one: locate the Hatch. This buildable part can spawn in four different spots across Tranzit:

  • Bus Depot: When you spawn, use the Turbine to open the room on the right. The Hatch may be in the right corner.
  • Diner: Use the Turbine at the locked building by the crashed truck. The Hatch can be found on the floor inside.
  • Farm: Use the Turbine at the locked door in Farm. The Hatch can spawn near the tractor.
  • Town: Head to the back of Town. To the right of the Mystery Box spawn, there’s a locked door the Turbine can open, and the Hatch may be inside.

After you’ve found the Hatch, go back to the Diner. Look toward the back of the building and aim upward: there’s a locked hatch on the ceiling. Interact with it to open it.

Once it’s open, you can double-tap the jump button to climb up onto the Diner roof. From there, you’ll be able to grab the Galvaknuckles, costing 6,000 Points.

What the Galvaknuckles Do in the Fog and Beyond

The Galvaknuckles aren’t just strong—they’re built for Tranzit’s worst conditions. They can instantly kill Denizens while they’re in the fog, before they can latch onto your head. They’re also lethal with a single hit against normal zombies until Round 14.
