Crimson Moon Launches Sept. 1, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC
ProbablyMonsters has announced that Crimson Moon will arrive on September 1, 2026, bringing its gothic action-adventure RPG to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC with a newly detailed Deluxe edition and a gameplay trailer focused on boss battles.
Release date and platforms confirmed
The studio says Crimson Moon launches on September 1, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. The game is already available to add to wishlists on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series storefronts.
- Launch date: September 1, 2026
- Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series, PC
Deluxe Edition details and what the game is built around
Alongside the release window, the gameplay trailer also revealed a Crimson Moon Deluxe Edition. It includes the Conjunto de Armadura Cerimonial and the weapon cosmetic Machado dos Deuses, plus a future expansion planned to launch later.
Designed for repeatable missions and replay value, Crimson Moon is an action RPG with adventure elements and a gothic look influenced by the High Renaissance. Players take on the role of Nephilim—human and angel hybrids made to protect humanity—within the besieged city of Gildenarch.
The combat approach emphasizes brutal precision and deep character progression. The game supports multiple playstyles: a complete solo campaign for players who want to go alone, and a cooperative mode that turns each encounter into a shared fight focused on strength and endurance.
For players aiming to reach the toughest encounters, the game features three consecutive districts in Gildenarch. Clearing them grants access to powerful world bosses, and the final boss—described as an infernal threat—won’t be available until all three preceding bosses are defeated.
Metal-heavy boss soundtrack and previews planned
ProbablyMonsters also confirmed that several well-known metal artists are contributing to the original soundtrack for boss encounters. The music team, led by composer Chris Wilson and music manager Steve Pardo, collaborated with HEALTH, Jared Dines, Misha Mansoor, and Ricky Armellino to produce four original metal tracks covering the three world bosses and the final confrontation.
Before release, the studio plans to share previews of each track on its social channels.
What to watch next
With a release date set for late 2026 and boss music previews scheduled ahead of launch, the next items to track are the rollout of each metal track preview and more details on the later expansion included with the Deluxe Edition.
