Black Ops 2 Zombies Tranzit Guide: Build the Zombie Shield Fast
If you’re tired of zombies sneaking up and tearing into your back in Black Ops 2 Zombies, you’ll want to build the Shield. In Tranzit, this buildable item removes damage from attacks aimed at your rear while it’s equipped. The Zombie Shield only has two spawn points, so here’s where to find the pieces and how to assemble them.
The Maxis Tranzit easter egg comes with a straightforward, step-by-step route, letting you move through the sequence quickly. If you’re aiming to finish it without getting stuck in dead ends, this is the kind of guide structure you want.
Every component needed for the Zombie Shield is located in the Diner. From there, you’ll place each part at the crafting station in the same building that houses the Mystery Box spawn.
How to Build the Zombie Shield on Tranzit in Black Ops 2 Zombies
Quick facts: where the parts spawn
- Zombie Shield pieces are found in the Diner.
- You’ll craft the Shield at the buildable station located in the building with the Mystery Box spawn.
- The shield blocks damage from behind while equipped.
- The Shield can break after enough hits.
- Hand Trolley spawns: behind the Diner counter; or at the far end booth away from Speed Cola.
- Car Door spawns: bathroom right of the Mystery Box; on a garage table near a zombie barrier; or inside the garage by the car on the maintenance platform.
Hand Trolley Locations
- Inside the Diner, behind the counter.
- Inside the Diner, at the far end booth from Speed Cola.
Car Door Locations
- Inside the bathroom to the right of the Mystery Box.
- On a table in the garage, next to a zombie barrier.
- Inside the garage, by the car on the maintenance platform.
Once you’ve located each component, you can pick them up and craft the Zombie Shield at the buildable station inside the garage—specifically behind the spot where the Mystery Box can spawn. After you place both pieces, you’ll get the Zombie Shield and can finally defend yourself against rear attacks. Just remember that the shield isn’t indestructible; after enough damage, it will break, so be ready to replace it.
In combat, the Zombie Shield can deliver one-hit melee kills on zombies through Round 20. It can also be dropped and planted on the ground to draw zombies away, giving you breathing room when the area gets crowded.
