Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced: Guide to New Naval Officer Quest Clues
One of the most notable additions in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is the set of new Naval Officer questlines. Each one introduces a distinct character you can recruit to Edward for the Jackdaw. You only need to complete a small number of steps to add these officers, but finishing the full quest arcs is where you get the richer, fuller story.
In Padre’s final assignment, The Other Cheek, you’ll be asked to track down clues pointing to the Bishop’s whereabouts. The investigation zone is wider than it needs to be, so here’s a practical tip before you start: most of your time will be spent close to the shoreline.

Where to Find the Bishop’s Location Clues in AC Black Flag Resynced
Begin by traveling to Kingston. Head to the objective marker and wait until night arrives so Padre can show up. When the cutscene starts, Abel explains the Bishop only moves around at night, which means you’ll need to collect evidence first before you can actually pursue him.
When the scene ends, go north into the marketplace. You’ll spot a crowd gathered around a notice board. Interact with the pinned Warning Note to pick up your first clue.
For the second clue, don’t waste time combing through the whole investigation area. Instead, move toward the big barn, but stay outside it. Angle your view toward the shoreline beside the barn, where you’ll see two civilians talking. One of them mentions having an invitation—and that’s the item you’re looking for.
Get behind the civilian and pickpocket the letter while staying undetected. Watch out, though: there’s currently a bug where being spotted can stop the pickpocket attempt, making it impossible to try again. If that happens, you have two ways to proceed:
- Reload your previous save.
- Eliminate the civilian and loot the invitation from the body instead.
For the last clue, continue south toward the docks. You’ll find another pair of civilians discussing the Bishop, including a secret detail: he holds prayers in the forest at night. Simply listen to their conversation to collect the final clue. Once you’ve gathered all three pieces of information, head back to Padre and follow him to the location marked on your map.

After the next cutscene, clear out the enemies across the forest as you push deeper inside. At the end of the path, you’ll reach the Bishop, surrounded by multiple guards. Defeat everyone, then speak with the Bishop to trigger the concluding cutscene and finish The Other Cheek.
