Disney Dreamlight Valley Chapter 8: Honeyglow Woods Guide to Piglet’s Fear
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Honeyglow Woods expansion keeps the cozy-fear vibes going with Chapter 8: The Little Big Forest, a new quest that asks you to help Piglet face what’s scaring him in Braveheart Grove. After you previously got Piglet to leave his House in Chapter 7: A Voice Behind the Door, he’s still uneasy—his imagination is running wild, and he’s convinced all kinds of spooky stuff might be hiding in the woods. Chapter 8 is where that fear starts to get tackled head-on, one missing sound at a time.
Chapter 8: The Little Big Forest — Quest framing and where it takes place
This walkthrough covers Chapter 8: The Little Big Forest, located in Honeyglow Woods, and specifically focuses on Braveheart Grove—a zone where birds, bees, and other comforting ambience have gone quiet. The quest uses in-world placement mechanics (Furniture Mode), crafting at Crafting Stations, and potion-based root removal to restore the grove’s soundscape.
Tour Braveheart Grove With Piglet
Start the quest by talking to Piglet. He’s waiting just outside his House at the bottom-left corner of Braveheart Grove. Piglet immediately points out that the Grove sounds worse than it used to—friendly woodland noises he remembers are missing.
Then follow Piglet about halfway up the left wall of Braveheart Grove, near a Juniper Berry bush, and talk to him there. He says birds used to chirp in that spot, but they aren’t singing anymore.
Next, follow Piglet across the wooden bridge to the far right corner of Braveheart Grove, close to the wall of fog that blocks access to the last area of Honeyglow Woods. Talk to Piglet in this location as well, and this time he’ll note that the bees have stopped buzzing in that part of the biome.
Build Noise-Making Furniture
To compensate for the missing birds and bees, you suggest crafting furniture that can bring back those sounds. You’ll need to gather materials and craft two items.
Chime Arch
For the Chime Arch, gather:
- Oak Leaves x 6 — collect them from the ground beneath trees anywhere in Honeyglow Woods
- Soft Limestone x 5 — mine it from Rock Spots in Honeyglow Woods
- Sweet Chestnut x 5 — pick it from trees in Honeyglow Woods
- Yellow & Orange Foxglove — pick it in any Honeyglow Woods area (Drowsybloom Acre tends to have it more often)
Buzzing Hive Cluster
The Buzzing Hive Cluster requires:
- Honey Agate x 4 — mine it from Rock Spots in Honeyglow Woods
- Golden Honey x 8 — harvest it from the Busy Bees’ House
- Tree Resin x 5 — dig it up anywhere in Honeyglow Woods, with drops tied to removing Amber Brushwoods
- Yellow Thistle x 3 — pick it in any Honeyglow Woods area
Craft both the Chime Arch and the Buzzing Hive Cluster at any Crafting Station. One is along the bottom edge of Braveheart Grove, near the entrance to the Everoak Tree.
After crafting, switch to Furniture Mode and place both items anywhere in Braveheart Grove. You do not need to use the exact two spots Piglet originally showed you—any placement within the biome works.
Visit Piglet’s Quiet Place
When the furniture is set, talk to Piglet. He realizes there’s still one sound missing. Follow Piglet to the left end of the wooden bridge, where you’ll find a cluster of extra-large Twistroots surrounding a pond.
Talk to Piglet there. He admits the big Twistroots make him nervous, and he asks you to follow him to a quiet spot he visits when he’s scared. Follow Piglet to the corner at the edge of the river, just to the right of the Everoak entrance. Speak with him, and he points out a nearby bubble blower—explaining that the bubbles help him calm down when everything feels too large and frightening.
Make A Prickle-Popper Potion
Seeing the calming bubbles helps Piglet remember something important: there are Very Important Instructions inside his House. They may contain the key to restoring the missing sound to Braveheart Grove.
Go inside Piglet’s House. The Very Important Instructions are on the floor to the left of Piglet’s bed. Pick them up to reveal the recipe for a Prickle-Popper Potion, which you’ll use to remove large roots.
Gather these ingredients:
- Driftwood x 5 — fish it from open water outside the ripples in Honeyglow Woods (it drops when removing Twistroots)
- Purple & White Foxglove x 5 — pick in any Honeyglow Woods biome (Drowsybloom Acre has it most often)
- Rose & Cream Foxglove x 5 — pick in any Honeyglow Woods biome (again, Drowsybloom Acre tends to be strongest)
- Shiny Honey Agate x 2 — mine it from Rock Spots in Honeyglow Woods
- Truffle x 5 — pick it from the ground anywhere in Honeyglow Woods
Once you’ve collected everything, make the Prickle-Popper Potion at any Crafting Station. Options include the one near your House in Drowsybloom Acre, or the one against the southern wall of Braveheart Grove.
Remove The Large Twistroots
Use the Prickle-Popper Potion from your Inventory. This also upgrades your Royal Shovel. Then remove at least four of the large Twistroots around the pond in the middle of Braveheart Grove.
Each Twiroot you clear drops a lot of Driftwood. Since you’ll need it later for subsequent quests, be sure to pick it up as you go.
Repair the Babbling Pond
Talk to Piglet again. He says the Babbling Pond is the final missing sound in Braveheart Grove, and he wants you to repair it.
Collect the following materials:
- Driftwood x 10 — fish it from open water outside the ripples in Honeyglow Woods (it drops when removing Twistroots). You’ll likely have enough already from clearing the large Twistroots earlier.
- Honey Agate x 4 — mine from Rock Spots in Honeyglow Woods
- Oak Leaves x 10 — pick from the ground beneath trees in all Honeyglow Woods areas
- Soft Limestone x 15 — mine from Rock Spots in Honeyglow Woods
- Tree Resin x 10 — dig up in all Honeyglow Woods areas (drops come from removing Amber Brushwoods)
After you have the materials, interact with the Babbling Pond and place the items into the available slots.
Figure Out What To Do Next
With the pond fixed, it returns to its former glory—though a few unsettling changes follow. New Honey Swirls appear, a tree comes to life, and a Mysterious Note flutters down to the ground.
Pick up the Mysterious Note near you and read it. The message suggests that when friends stick together, even scary places can feel warm and safe.
Talk to Piglet and ask what he thinks. Eeyore and Pooh arrive, and the group agrees the next step is to check out the Everoak Tree to understand what’s happening in the Woods.
Meet Piglet at the Everoak Tree entrance (roughly halfway along the southern wall of Braveheart Grove) and talk to him there. The quest concludes with you and Piglet still figuring out how to enter the Everoak Tree—however, Piglet does give you a Bubble Blower furniture item you can place wherever you like.
