Checklists

The Chef’s Station at the Imagination Cafe in Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s City Town region is your hub for cooking lots of different meals. It covers fan-favorite treats like Mochi and Dango, along with Taiyaki, Boba Tea, and more. Once you become best friends with Usahana and complete the required quests, you’ll be able to obtain a small, customizable Mini Chef’s Station.

This mini version can be placed in your home or in any Visitor Cabin or Apartment. It’s essentially the same idea as the full station, just scaled down so you can decorate your own space. Below is the path to getting one of your own.

Complete “Yes, Chef”

To start, you’ll need to raise Usahana’s Friendship Level to 35, which brings you to Best Friends status. The most consistent method is giving her favorite gifts every day. Her top pick is Rainbow Dango, though she also enjoys Mochi and Dango across different types.

After you reach Best Friends with Usahana, you can accept the quest titled “Yes, Chef.” In it, she teaches you how to build your own Chef’s Station, and you’ll need to craft one to finish the quest. The required ingredients are:

  • City Coin x 100 — earned by serving customers at the Imagination Cafe
  • Ingot x 10 — made by using 3 Iron Ore, which you can find in Gemstone Mountain and Mount Hothead; you can also win Ingots from the Gem Match and Crane Craze mini-games
  • Spark x 5 — crafted using 3 Light Stones, described as Kuromi’s return gift

Complete “Mini Mode”

“Mini Mode” is another quest you can unlock later, but it doesn’t come from a single friendship requirement. It becomes available after you hit Friendship Level 12 with Hangyodon and Pekkle, Friendship Level 15 with Pompompurin, and Friendship Level 5 with My Sweet Piano.

In this quest, you’ll bring My Sweet Piano to visit the Soda Machine and Dessert Boat. After that trip, she’ll come up with the idea to create miniature versions of several machines across Friendship Island. Unlike the full-sized equipment, these smaller versions can be customized using her Furniture Customization stand found inside Small Gift, Big Smile.

To wrap up “Mini Mode,” you’ll have to manufacture mini versions of the Dessert Machine, Espresso Machine, and Soda Machine. The TOTAL number of materials needed to craft all three is:
