Big Xbox highlights: campaigns, remasters, and major franchises
The Coalition used the showcase to double down on Gears of War: E-Day, unveiling a new campaign trailer centered on Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago during the Day of the Emergence. The game is scheduled for 8 October 2026, and it will be available via Xbox Game Pass.
CD Projekt also returned to the spotlight with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, targeting 29 September 2026. The remaster is positioned around upgraded visuals, refreshed combat and movement, and changes to the skills system. Owners of the current version will receive it as a free update.
Metro fans got their next look at Metro 2039 through a new gameplay trailer, with the game landing in February 2027.
New dates and major announcements across the rest of the lineup
Other confirmed windows and launch dates also made the jump from “coming soon” to “mark your calendar.” Capcom announced Mega Man: Dual Override for 2027, and Ubisoft set Rayman: Legends Retold for 1 October 2026 with a new musical trailer. Ubisoft also put Rainbow Six Tactics on the 2027 track.
In the PUBG universe, PUBG DED.NET is scheduled for 1 October 2026. Meanwhile, EXODUS finally received a firm date: 7 April 2027, with Archetype Entertainment confirming the sci-fi RPG’s “next spring” timeframe through its trailer.
Grinding Gear Games confirmed that Path of Exile 2 will make the full leap into free-to-play on 11 December 2026. Ubisoft and other publishers also used the stage to lock in more calendar entries, including Transport Fever 3 on 29 September 2026 and Stage Tour on 10 December 2026.
Game Pass connections and early access notes
Not every title was given a date, but the event also reinforced where Xbox players can expect value. Gears of War: E-Day is confirmed for Xbox Game Pass. There Are No Ghosts At The Grand is set for December 2026 with PC early access, and it will be part of Xbox Game Pass as well.
Games shown without release dates
Several projects were introduced with trailers but no timing yet. These include NODUSFALL, Tides of Annihilation, Lofsong, Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons, 1001 Threads of Mizan, LEGO Skylines, Exterminauts (spring 2027 was given), No Law, Roco Kingdom, Ontos (2027), Zoopunk, Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Remake, The Defiant, TARAE The Unbound, Turok Origins (spring 2027 was given), and Crazy Taxi: World Tour, alongside other announcements from the show.
With Gamescom 2026 still underway, more Xbox-focused reveals are expected in the days ahead—more trailers, additional dates, and further details for the titles that are still missing a launch window.
