One Piece Takes Over Round1 Arcades in US and Japan Starting in July
Round1 Entertainment has announced a major One Piece partnership, with the franchise set to take over Round1 entertainment centers in both the US and Japan starting in July. Round1—an amusement chain based in Japan that’s expanded into the United States throughout the late 2010s—has built a reputation as a hangout spot for groups, offering everything from bowling and darts to karaoke, table tennis, and video games. The company is no stranger to anime and game tie-ins, but this One Piece takeover is positioned as one of its biggest events yet.
On the anime side, One Piece is back in full swing after a break from January through March 2026. The series has moved to a two-part “split cour” schedule each year, which means it will now air 26 episodes annually going forward. That’s a noticeable shift, since the show has previously run year-round since the premiere in October 1999. At the moment, the Elbaph Arc is underway, following the Straw Hat Pirates and the Giant Warrior Pirates as they arrive in Elbaph, while the Holy Knights of God prepare to annex the nation on behalf of the World Government. If you’ve wanted to revisit the series but have been put off by how much filler content there is, there’s also a new reason to jump in: the first trailer for the One Piece anime remake on Netflix was officially released last week.
Meanwhile, the franchise’s future is also being framed with bold claims: One Piece is said to go from “subpar” to becoming the “best anime of all time” in February 2027.
One Piece Arrives at Round1 in the US and Japan on July 18
Round1 Entertainment says its One Piece collaboration will begin simultaneously at more than 100 locations in Japan and 59 locations in the United States on July 18, 2026. The event is scheduled to run until October 17. During the run, visitors can look forward to 27 exclusive items, including merchandise and prizes built around newly created artwork, plus 10 original trading cards tied to the One Piece Card Game.
To obtain the trading cards, guests will need to perform qualifying reloads on their Round1 Game Card during the event window. As with many Round1 collaborations, participating venues will also feature special photo areas, themed crane machines, exclusive beverages, and additional in-store surprises.
Some locations will also host a themed Chopper plush and a Gear 5 Luffy figure. These will be crane-game exclusives. Round1 also notes that guests who buy participating drinks or spend a set amount during their visit will receive a voucher that can be used to purchase exclusive merchandise, with other giveaways scheduled across the event period.
North America: One Piece Fest Set for Los Angeles in Late August 2026
North American One Piece fans will have another major event to plan around in 2026. The first-ever One Piece Fest in the region is slated for Cosm Los Angeles from August 25 to August 26, 2026. The program will include an immersive “Elbaph Experience,” along with special performances, panel discussions, exclusive merchandise, and more.
Toei Animation is aiming to bring in more than 7,000 attendees. Confirmed appearances include Hiroshi Kitadani, who performed the original theme song “We Are!,” as well as English voice actors Ian Sinclair and Brina Palencia, voicing Brook and Tony Tony Chopper, respectively. Additional guests are expected, but they haven’t been revealed yet.
One Piece Manga Update and Streaming Availability
The manga continues to push forward as well, with author Eiichiro Oda teasing that the conclusion to Luffy’s journey is drawing near. The series first launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997 and, as of March 2026, has reportedly sold more than 600 million copies worldwide. That places it as the top-selling comic series in terms of volume format, as well as the best-selling manga series in history by a wide margin.
One Piece can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
