Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden Drops First Trailer Ahead of Oct. 6 Premiere
The official site for Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden has released the anime’s first promotional trailer, along with a poster, additional cast and staff details, and a confirmed premiere date of October 6.
Anime premiere set for October 6
The upcoming TV animation follows a legendary warrior feared even by gods, who spends his life winning every fight without finding a true match. After reaching the end of his days with deep dissatisfaction, he is reborn in another world inside the body of Nia Liston, a young noblewoman with fragile health and a weak physical build.
Even though her body is far from that of a typical fighter, Nia retains the mind, experience, and instincts of an unmatched warrior. In a world shaped by magic, nobility, and strict social rules, she must learn how to survive, train, and grow around the limitations of her condition—while still pushing toward the battlefield and seeking enemies worthy of her.
Cast, staff, and creative team
The previously known lead voice cast has been confirmed: Honoka Inoue will voice Nia Liston.

Motoki Nakanishi directs the series at KONAMI animation, with Haruta Segi as assistant director. Gigaemon Ichikawa handles series composition, while character design is led by Yūki Itō and Kana Tosaoka. Naoki Endō composes the music, and Hiromi Kikuta directs the sound work.
Light novel and manga timeline
The story originated on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō site in 2019, with the web novel concluding in 2021. Hobby Japan began publishing physical light novel volumes featuring illustrations by Jishaku starting in September 2022. For the novels, Katana Canata produced illustrations beginning with the third volume.
Meanwhile, the manga adaptation debuted on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service in 2022, with the first volume released in May 2023. As of now, the franchise has 11 light novel volumes’ worth of progress reported.
