Meccha Chameleon Eeyans Explained: How to Send End-of-Round Compliments

Meccha Chameleon adds a friendly end-of-round compliment system: Eeyans, a Japanese expression meaning “that’s great.” During the Answer Check at the close of each match, players can spot where others hid and use Eeyans to like and encourage good hiding spots. Here’s what the mechanic does and how to pass out those likes.

What Are Eeyans in Meccha Chameleon?

“Eeyan” comes from Japanese and translates to “That’s great.” In Meccha Chameleon, the Answer Check happens at the end of the round. At that point, you can move around the map and view other players’ hiding locations.

You can use an Eeyan to commend a teammate’s effort—whether it’s an especially strong hiding place, a well-done paint job, or even a spot that simply makes you laugh. When you give one, the Eeyan shows up above the recipient’s name next to a thumbs-up icon. That count is permanent and follows the player across lobbies and groups.

How to Give an Eeyan in Meccha Chameleon

After a match ends, there’s an Answer Check window where you can see the chameleons’ hiding spots. Their most recent placements briefly light up through walls, making it easier to locate them.

When you’re close to the person you want to compliment, walk up to the chameleon and press the “G” key to award them an Eeyan.

Keep in mind you can only give out one Eeyan per match, so choose your favorite hiding spot before the round moves on.

How to Get More Eeyans in Meccha Chameleon

The key limitation: you’ll only be eligible to receive an Eeyan for your most recent hiding spot. Your clones won’t qualify for Eeyans, so don’t expect likes to carry over from earlier placements.

To maximize your chances, pay attention to what your group tends to enjoy. Some players gravitate toward clever hiding ideas, others prefer standout paint work, and many just want something funny. In general, spots that are clearly visible to onlookers but still successfully fool the hunters tend to perform especially well.
