Travel to Widow

  • Location: Serpent Nebula – Widow – Citadel – Level 27

To start this assignment, travel to the Serpent Nebula in the southwestern portion of the Milky Way, then head to the Widow system and board the Citadel. Once you arrive, go through the door directly ahead and continue through the security checkpoint corridor until you reach Level 27.

From there, move all the way to the left. Then turn right and descend the blue-lit stairs to reach Level 26. Leave the area at the bottom, and you’ll see the relevant stores on the other side of the diagonal support column near the Shipping Warehouse entrance.

  • Unique Dialogue:
    • This assignment can include extra dialogue if you bring Tali in your squad. The tradeoff is that doing so can delay the assignment for quite a while.

Talk to Officer

When you arrive, a Volus and a Quarian are arguing, with a C-Sec officer attempting to manage the situation. The Volus, Kor Tun, says the Quarian, Lia’Vael, bumped into him and stole a credit chit. (A “chit” is an uncommon term here, representing a receipt for money owed.)

In response, Lia’Vael insists Kor Tun acted rudely, left the area, returned about a minute later, and then claimed she had taken his chit.

The C-Sec officer doesn’t come across as neutral—he treats Lia’Vael with racist attitudes and leans more toward Kor Tun’s side.

When you step into the conversation, you can ask both characters what they think, and you can also offer to investigate. The C-Sec officer will argue that civilian involvement isn’t necessary, but you should ignore him. It’s clearly needed—especially since Shepard is hardly “just a civilian,” given that he’s a former Spectre.

Find Credit Chit

Now it’s time to track down the missing credit chit. Look south down the hall and you’ll spot a storefront called Sirta Foundation, with an orange-and-teal lighting scheme—the exact place Kor Tun said he ran into Lia’Vael. Talk to the receptionist, Kian Louros, and ask about “Kor Tun’s credit chit.”

Kian Louros tells you she doesn’t have it, and she also points out that he didn’t purchase anything from the shop, matching Kor Tun’s own claim. That detail is suspicious.

Since the only other shop on Level 26 is Saronis Applications, located directly across from Sirta Foundation, it’s worth checking there next.

Go inside and speak with the Salarian behind the counter, Marab. You can discuss other topics if you want, but for this assignment you should ask about “Kor Tun’s credit chit.” Marab explains that a Volus left it behind, and instructs you to report to him so you can pick it up as soon as possible.

Return to Kor Tun

With the information in hand, go back to where the argument is happening. Rejoin the conversation and immediately tell everyone that the missing chit is at Saronis Applications. This choice grants you +5 Paragon Points.

Even after hearing this, Kor Tun continues to claim Lia’Vael could still have stolen it. The C-Sec officer, meanwhile, threatens to have Lia’Vael brought in for vagrancy.

At this stage, the assignment is effectively finished. However, if you’re playing as a Paragon, you should use the Paragon Interrupt that appears when the C-Sec officer threatens to bring Lia’Vael in. This lets Shepard respond with righteous verbal fury and earns you +5 Paragon Points.
