LEGO Pokémon “Iconic Trainer Moments” Leaks: Professor Oak, Red, Pikachu
The first LEGO Pokémon set to feature minifigures—spotting Professor Oak and Red—has surfaced in leaked images, with the debut reportedly set for later this year.
Newly shared photos of the “Iconic Trainer Moments: Poké Ball” range have been making the rounds online, showcasing a detailed 2,343-brick LEGO build. The set is also said to come with three minifigures.
Here’s your earliest look at the LEGO Pokémon set, 72154 Pokéball, courtesy of leaked previews. The reported price is $260, and the suggested release date is October 1.
Visually, the model is built like a spherical Poké Ball that opens on a hinge. When you lift the lid, you’re treated to a small diorama scene inside the ball.
On the top portion of the Poké Ball, Professor Oak stands in his lab setting, presenting you with a choice of three Pokéballs to kick off your adventure—an arrangement that closely mirrors the opening moments from Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue.
The base is where the minifigure action comes in. It includes Red facing off against a Picnicker enemy, positioned opposite each other as if they’re ready to battle. The display area is decorated with leafy details—so you can basically ask, “Is this Viridian Forest?”—and the set is also reported to include miniature models of Pikachu and Eevee.
Up to now, LEGO Pokémon releases have generally fallen into two categories: larger-scale display pieces or smaller builds designed to be play-friendly, using Smart Brick tech. This Poké Ball set, however, is notable for bringing the minifigure format fans have been pushing for.

That said, leak reports from dependable LEGO tipsters have pointed to a launch date of October 1, with a cost potentially landing somewhere between $260 and $300.

Pokémon Calendar Context: 30 Years, Next Big Releases in 2027
This year marks Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, but there isn’t a brand-new mainline game scheduled to arrive this Christmas.
Instead, the franchise’s long-awaited tenth-generation entries—Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves—are expected to launch sometime in 2027, and they’re described as exclusive to Switch 2.
In the meantime, Pokémon Pokopia, the popular life simulation title, is set to keep getting updates. And Pokémon Go is preparing to reveal what comes next through a special livestream later this week.
