Deltarune Chapter 5 Flower Gear Guide: Secret Weapons and Armor Rewards
Chapter 5 of Deltarune hides one of its most memorable “secret reward” setups, letting players claim a set of Flower-inspired gear drawn from Undertale. After you defeat the Chapter 5 secret boss, Pink, you can obtain six distinct weapons and armor pieces from a concealed Flower Shop. The catch is that Pink itself isn’t free: unlocking the opportunity to buy these items requires spending 10 Pink Coins, leaving you with just 9 Pink Coins remaining.
Because of that limited currency, you can’t walk away with every Flower Item during a single run. Each piece of equipment costs 100 Flowery Dollars and 3 Pink Coins, meaning the Pink Coin total only supports purchases of three items in Chapter 5. With that in mind, this guide breaks down every secret Flower weapon and armor option, so you can decide which ones are actually worth your limited resources.
This walkthrough is designed to help you locate every item, beat every boss, and handle every puzzle in Deltarune Chapter 5.
How to Unlock the Chapter 5 Secret Weapons and Armors
The Flower Items become available right after you defeat Pink, the Chapter 5 secret boss. Once the fight ends, you’ll want to travel to the hidden area situated to the north of Pink’s room. That’s where the secret Flower Shop waits, offering six exclusive equipment pieces.
Every item in the shop requires 100 Flowery Dollars and 3 Pink Coins, so choosing the best gear for your party composition matters more than usual—especially if you’re aiming for a specific playstyle.
All Deltarune Chapter 5 Secret Weapons
BlueShoes (Ralsei Weapon)
BlueShoes are currently Ralsei’s strongest option if you care about spellcasting support. The weapon drops Pacify to a cost of 0 TP, and it also provides one of the biggest stat boosts you can get on a single Flower weapon. While the free Pacify is helpful, the headline benefit is the huge +6 Magic and +4 Defense, which is unusually rare for this slot. That combination improves Ralsei’s healing output while also making him harder to bring down. If you’re doing a pacifist-leaning run, BlueShoes are one of the best Flower purchases you can make.
GreenApron
GreenApron can be equipped by any member of your party. Its effect restores HP whenever the wearer uses Defend. In terms of practical defense for Chapter 5, it’s arguably the best armor choice because it combines the strongest Defense bonus available at this stage with consistent healing. It’s especially useful for characters like Kris, who can recover HP while still building TP—meaning Ralsei can spend more time supporting the rest of the party instead of being the only stabilizer. If you expect difficult boss encounters or you prefer survival-focused builds, GreenApron is a very safe buy.
SethSpecs
SethSpecs are usable on any party member except Noelle. Their main perk is extending invincibility frames after taking damage: the protection window increases from 40 frames (1.33 seconds) to 48 frames (1.6 seconds). That extra time gives you more breathing room to dodge follow-up attacks. The stat package is also excellent, highlighted by +6 Magic, which makes it the highest Magic-granting armor option currently available. SethSpecs are a great fit if you struggle with bullet-heavy patterns or if you want a powerful Magic-oriented setup.
YellowHat
Like GreenApron, YellowHat can be equipped by any party member, but it shines most when used on Susie and Ralsei. It boosts all spell damage by 20% while also keeping the rest of the stats fairly balanced. YellowHat doesn’t lean as hard into pure defense or raw Magic as some other options, but it improves both your offense and your survivability at the same time. It’s particularly friendly to Magic-based builds, and it may become even more valuable in later parts of the story as spell damage scaling continues to matter.
AquaKnife
AquaKnife helps Kris land critical hits more reliably. Even though the extra Attack sounds appealing, the overall value is lower than you might expect, because critical hit performance can be improved through experience and practice. It also competes with stronger alternatives such as BlackShard, which makes AquaKnife feel more like a “nice to have” than a must-buy. It can be a fun pick for Kris damage-focused builds, but with Pink Coins limited, it’s usually hard to justify.
OrangeGlove
OrangeGlove can be equipped only by Susie or Noelle. Its effect reduces the TP cost of Susie’s Scythemare spell. While it does provide the highest Defense value among the single armor pieces, that advantage is hard to take advantage of because Scythemare is rarely used. GreenApron tends to provide more dependable survivability thanks to its healing effect, so OrangeGlove is difficult to recommend unless future chapters increase Scythemare’s importance.
Once you purchase all three Flower Items from the Chapter 5 secret shop, a new pedestal appears. It offers the FloweryScarf for 1 Flowery Dollar. Even though it’s described as “Ralsei’s ultimate weapon,” it can’t be equipped because Ralsei refuses anything connected to Flowery. The FloweryScarf is mainly a joke item, but it does come with strong stat numbers: +70 AT, +70 DEF, +70 MAGIC, plus a special “TheBest” ability. After the Flowery-related battle, the item is revealed as a fake and turns into the BrokenScarf. It’s still worth grabbing for completion and for extra dialogue, but it doesn’t provide meaningful gameplay benefits.
Best Three Flower Items to Buy in Deltarune
For most players, the most effective trio is BlueShoes + GreenApron + SethSpecs. Together, these choices deliver top overall performance by improving Ralsei’s healing capacity, giving Kris or Susie defensive sustain, and adding extra survivability during tougher encounters.
If you’re aiming for a more aggressive pacifist-style approach, BlueShoes + GreenApron + YellowHat is another strong combination. YellowHat’s spell boost may also become even more valuable later as bosses demand more damage output.
