Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced: How to Start the Templar Hunt Chain

A new Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced quest guide breaks down the opening step of the Templar Hunt chain, helping players track down Upton Travers in Nassau and finish the job.

Checklists

Oh Brother… is a Templar Hunt quest in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. It’s the first mission involving Upton Travers, who has a leadership role among the Assassins in Nassau. The guide is designed to help you locate Upton’s hideout and eliminate your target.

Oh Brother…

The opening Templar Hunt assignment is given by Vance Travers, who waits for you on a porch near the coast of Nassau. He points you toward Upton Travers, his brother—claiming Upton is turning on the Brotherhood to deliver a treasure map to the Templars.

As you start the mission, you’ll spot two of Upton’s men walking along Nassau’s main street, positioned to the west of Vance. You can follow them quietly all the way to their destination, or you can skip the tailing by performing a double assassination and looting their bodies. Either approach works and does not change how the quest resolves.

When you finally reach Upton’s hideout, he’s waiting in the center of a wide-open courtyard, positioned as if he’s daring you to assassinate him. A handful of guards patrol the area, but you can get close quickly by dropping down from the rooftops into the tall grass.

Once you “assassinate” Upton, the quest will automatically be marked complete, so you don’t need to clear out the rest of the enemies. The twist is that Upton actually runs the local Bureau, meaning Vance’s story doesn’t hold up.
