Complete List of Every Rideable Pokémon in Cobblemon (92 Options)

In the Cobblemon mod for Minecraft, you can mount certain Pokémon to travel across the world—walking on land, moving through water, or even taking to the skies. The catch is that only 92 Pokémon in the mod are rideable, and before you catch them in the wild, you won’t have any clear way to tell which ones qualify.

This guide walks through every rideable Pokémon in Cobblemon, explains the ride type categories they fall under, and shows how to mount them once you’ve captured the right species.

Here’s also how to handle one of the most asked-about evolutions: catching and evolving Eevee into either Umbreon or Espeon in Cobblemon.

How to Ride Pokémon in Cobblemon

To ride a Pokémon in Cobblemon, follow these steps:

  1. Catch a Pokémon that is actually rideable.
  2. Release it from its Poke Ball.
  3. Crouch + Right-Click on the Pokémon’s in-world model to open the radial menu.
  4. Select “Ride” to begin mounting.

To get off, press R while that Pokémon is selected in the party interface.

If the ride option is shown as greyed out, that specific Pokémon can’t be ridden.

Most Pokémon only let one player ride at a time, but some can be shared. On multiplayer servers, you can occasionally see multiple players mounted simultaneously—Wailord being the standout example, since it can seat 19 people at once (as long as you’re playing online with other players).

Types of Rideable Pokémon in Cobblemon

Rideable Pokémon in Cobblemon are split into three main categories: Land, Liquid, and Air. Land mounts can move on solid ground, Liquid mounts can swim or dive, and Air mounts can fly. Each category is then broken down further into smaller sub-groups, referred to as classes or riding styles.

Land Mounts

There is only one class of Land mounts in Cobblemon:

  • Standard: These Pokémon can walk on land. You can control them similarly to how you’d drive Minecraft’s vanilla horses.

Liquid Mounts

Liquid mounts have three classes:

  • Boat: These Pokémon swim on the surface of liquids. They function the same way vanilla boats do.
  • Submarine: These Pokémon can swim both above and below the water surface without limit.
  • Dolphin: These Pokémon can swim both above and below the water surface, and they can also make big leaps out of liquids when you move quickly.

Air Mounts

Air mounts include four classes:

  • Bird: These Pokémon fly freely and can hover in place. They can’t change direction mid-flight, so you need to take a curved path to alter your trajectory.
  • Jet: These Pokémon move extremely fast in a straight line, with a very high turn rate. To change directions, you’ll typically need frequent strafing. They also can’t hover.
  • Hover: These Pokémon can fly in any direction while hovering a few feet above the ground (with the exact height depending on their maximum jump capability). They turn easily and use straightforward controls, but they tend to be slower than other flying mount types.
  • Rocket: These Pokémon propel themselves upward and forward using rocket-like appendages. Their forward motion is comparable to Jet mounts, which means turning is extremely difficult.
