Bandai Namco Filmworks Confirms Tank Chair Anime Cast Ahead of Oct. 4 Debut
Bandai Namco Filmworks has released a promotional video and a new visual for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Manabu Yashiro’s manga Tank Chair, confirming additional cast and staff details ahead of its premiere on October 4.
Release window and first music previews
The newly shared promo video is tied to the anime’s launch announcements and includes an early look at its theme music. The opening theme is titled “DALALA” and is performed by SiM, while the ending theme is “SYNC,” credited to artist Daoko.

New cast announced, plus the story’s setup
The anime’s cast roster expands with multiple additions, including leads tied directly to Nagi Taira’s life and mission. The story centers on Nagi Taira, an assassin whose extraordinary ability leaves him wheelchair-bound after he protects his younger sister from a bullet. Living in constant disorientation, he can only regain awareness briefly when he senses the intent to kill aimed at him.
With the goal of fully awakening, Nagi begins “rehabilitation” using a modified wheelchair built to push back against powerful enemies.

- Kōki Uchiyama as Nagi Taira
- Minori Fujidera as Shizuka Taira, Nagi’s younger sister and a collaborator on Tank Chair
- Gakuto Kajiwara as Naozumi Kurosaka, Nagi’s former classmate bound to him by a strong rivalry
- Saori Hayami as Touko Kurosaka, Naozumi’s younger sister
A design for “Sensei” was also shown in the materials, but no voice actor has been announced for the role yet.
Staff lineup and production credits
The anime is directed by Tadahiro Yoshihira and Hiroaki Ando, with Yoshihira and Ando also credited for the screenplay at Polygon Pictures. Yūki Moriyama handles character design, while Masaru Yokoyama is responsible for the music. Kazuma Teshigahara is credited for scenery work.

Manga background and current publication status
Yashiro began serializing Tank Chair in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket in November 2022, later moving the series to Monthly Shonen Sirius two years afterward. The manga currently has ten volumes, and it is published in Italy by Panini Comics – Planet Manga.
