Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Ranking the Shinju Clone Powers From Weak to God-Tier
Born from the juvenile Ten-Tails, Code’s Claw Marks, and Claw Grimes, the Shinju Clones are sentient Human God Trees that have become the most dangerous antagonists in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Led by Jura, they aren’t driven purely by instinct; instead, they’re trying to devour their targets to better understand themselves.
The series’ current “god-tier” power ceiling pushes Boruto’s roster so far beyond the previous generation that older fighters now feel comparatively weak or stuck in the mid-range.
As the strongest villain faction in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the Shinju Clones bring overwhelming abilities that threaten Boruto Uzumaki, his allies, and the stability of the shinobi world. Their power continues to expand, revealing new and frightening techniques as they clash with the heroes.
8 Shinju Clones Can Fly and Levitate Naturally
Because the Shinju Clones share general Otsutsuki traits, they naturally have true flight. Their levitation and aerial movement feel effortless, letting these humanoid god trees move freely across the battlefield, dodge ground-based pressure, and choose the angles they fight from.
Among the Shinju Clones, Jura is the one who most often shows off genuine flight in combat. He demonstrated it during a tense encounter with Himawari, and later used it again while tracking and fighting Boruto and Kawaki in the Land of the Wind—reinforcing that he operates naturally from the air.

7 Shinju Hidari’s Chidori Is Imperfect But Deadly
As long as Sasuke Uchiha is unable to fight, Shinju Hidari can access his abilities without restriction, including the iconic Chidori. Sasuke can only return to normal after Hidari’s Thorn Soul Bulb has been recovered.
Hidari, meanwhile, inherits Sasuke’s signature techniques, giving him immediate command of Lightning and Fire Release, along with the Wood Release shared by all Shinju Clones. Even though Hidari’s Chidori is imperfect—partly because he lacks the Sharingan—he can still unleash the technique with terrifying force.
6 Shinju Ryu’s Iron Sand Is Difficult to Counter
Unlike Mamushi, whose signature power is Division, Shinju Ryu wields Magnet Release, which lets him exert full control over Iron Sand. Created as a Shinju Clone from Shinki of the Sand Village, Ryu naturally inherits his template’s trademark techniques, including one of the most formidable kekkei genkai in the series.
With Iron Sand, Ryu quickly overwhelmed and captured Code. He can also shape Iron Sand into multiple constructs, including a fake Thorn Soul Bulb meant to mislead Sarada and the others. On top of that, he can coat opponents in Iron Sand and manipulate them into attacking each other.
To make matters worse, Ryu can convert his own body into Iron Sand whenever he wants, dramatically improving his movement, defense, and overall threat level in fights.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is officially moving to let the 5 Kage raise their skill level after their underwhelming performance in the 4th Great Ninja War.
5 Shinju Mamushi’s Division Ability Makes Numbers His Greatest Weapon
Each Shinju Clone carries a distinct ability. In Mamushi’s case, he turned his Division powers into a weapon during his attempt to devour Eida in Konoha. Division works in a way that’s similar to the Shadow Clone Jutsu, but the key difference is that it doesn’t split his chakra among the created copies—so every division keeps full combat effectiveness.
Division lets Mamushi generate countless perfect replicas of himself, which means his assault on Konoha can turn into a massive multi-angle numbers game. The downside is tied to quantity: the more clones he creates, the less intelligence and logical judgment each one maintains. Still, they never lose their relentless bloodlust, leaving them dangerous even when their reasoning fades.
4 Shinju Clones’ Claw Marks Give Them Exceptional Mobility
Code’s reckless choice to apply his Claw Marks to the juvenile Ten-Tails ultimately granted the Shinju Clones access to his overpowered shinjutsu. That ability has become one of their most flexible tools, letting them jump instantly between Claw Marks, reposition across the battlefield, or strike with sudden surprise attacks.
For instance, when Boruto arrived in the Land of the Wind, Jura immediately locked onto him by bursting out of a nearby Claw Grime that was linked to one of Code’s Claw Marks. That connection allowed Jura to reach Boruto almost immediately, forcing a life-or-death confrontation in Two Blue Vortex.
3 Jura’s Tailed Beast Ball Is Unlike Any Other
Naruto fans already know that the Tailed Beast Ball is among the most destructive techniques in the franchise, capable of wiping out large areas and destroying nearly anything directly in its path. Most users need time to charge the attack before firing, but Jura can release it instantly—meaning he can start bombarding opponents without any visible buildup.
Jura can also reshape and resize his Tailed Beast Balls. He can fire them as compact projectiles, or concentrate them into devastating laser-like energy beams. Even the timing is controllable: he can choose to detonate on direct impact or delay the explosion on purpose to catch enemies off guard.
2 The Shinju Clones’ Wood Release Makes Them Nearly Invincible
When Shinju Clones fight, they lean heavily on Wood Release both offensively and defensively. Matsuri, for example, used Wood Release to manipulate roots and even reshape her outfit into deadly wood structures. Jura follows the same general approach, surprising opponents by creating massive Wood Release formations in an instant.
For defense, Jura uses Wood Release to manifest huge tree branches. He can then merge with them to regenerate missing body parts at remarkable speed. Because of this regeneration, defeating Jura is extremely difficult—injuries that should be fatal can be restored, leaving him unusually resilient in actual combat.
1 The Dual Rinnegan of the Shinju Clones Makes Them Even Scarier
Getting Rinnegan access is difficult for most shinobi, but the Shinju Clones were born with it. Since they are offshoots of the juvenile Ten-Tails—which already has the Rinnegan—these clones naturally carry the frightening Otsutsuki dojutsu. Still, for some reason, most Shinju Clones don’t lean on Rinnegan techniques during active fights.
Jura is the only Shinju Clone confirmed to use the Rinnegan in a particularly devastating way, firing a Tailed Beast Ball directly from his eyes. Unlike Jura, the other Shinju Clones generally focus more on Wood Release and the distinctive abilities they inherited from their original templates, rather than exploiting Rinnegan power to overpower opponents.
