Black Ops Zombies: Unlock the Five Map and Conquer Dead Ops Arcade
“Five” is the legendary Black Ops Zombies map that lets you take control of historical figures—President John F. Kennedy, Robert McNamara, Richard Nixon, and Fidel Castro—while you fight through endless waves of undead zombies inside the Pentagon. It’s a fan-favorite blast, but it’s also widely regarded as one of the toughest maps in the rotation, and there’s a catch: it isn’t available from the start. You can only unlock Five using the “3ARC UNLOCK” code, and here’s the exact method to do it.
Black Ops and Black Ops 2 have made their way to the PS4 and PS5, but the move includes a few missing features and some extra details players may want to know before jumping in.
How to Unlock “FIVE” in Black Ops 1 Zombies
In Black Ops, you can unlock “Five” (and “Dead Ops Arcade”) straight from the in-game menu. When you’re seated—where you’re typically stuck and can’t choose Campaign, Multiplayer, or Zombies—press and spam L2 plus R2 to break free from the chair. Behind the restraints, there’s a computer terminal you can use, and you’ll need to interact with it using Square.
Once you’re at the terminal, enter the unlock phrase: 3ARC UNLOCK. Typing “3ARC UNLOCK” will add Five to your Zombies menu, and it will no longer be treated as locked content. If Dead Ops Arcade is still unavailable as well, return to the same terminal and type “DOA”.
There’s also an alternative route: you can unlock Five by completing the Campaign. It’s often worth playing anyway, but if your goal is strictly Zombies maps, the terminal method is the direct approach.
