Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced: Sage’s Buried Secret Temple Puzzle Guide
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced includes more than a dozen main story sequences, and while most segments are straightforward, a few temple moments add puzzle sections that can stall your run. One of the trickier stretches lands in Sequence 4 during the “Sage’s Buried Secret” quest.
Sage’s Buried Secret Puzzle Walkthrough in AC Black Flag Resynced
In Sequence 4, after you meet James Kidd on the island, Edward heads deeper into the labyrinth where the “Sage’s Buried Secret” mission begins. If you’re stuck on any of the temple puzzles, this walkthrough breaks down how to clear each stage.
Right after the initial parkour, you’ll reach an area where the route collapses immediately after James makes it across. You’re not trapped—just climb the left wall and cross over the ruins to continue through the temple.
The first statue puzzle shows up here, and it’s the simplest of the three. Climb onto the left wall and either stand on the red mechanism or hang from it to bring it down. Once that’s done, the path ahead opens so you can push deeper into the temple.
The second puzzle is in the next chamber. Look for a large circular platform on the floor that rotates when you activate the lever nearby. Your objective is to spin the platform until the red segment ends up on the left side. When it’s positioned correctly, climb the left wall and lower the red block. Then repeat the same idea for the blue block, and the doorway in front of you will open.
After that, you’ll swim through a short underwater section before following the main route into the temple’s core. This is where the last statue puzzle waits—and it’s the one that tends to confuse players most. The catch is that the solution is simpler than it first looks.
Complete the final statue puzzle in this order:
- Raise the Blue block by hanging from the mechanism on the far left.
- Lower the Blue block into its correct position.
- Raise the Red block using the mechanism on the left wall.
- Lower the Red block into its correct position.
- Lower the Green block into its correct position.
Once all three colored blocks are placed correctly, the last set of doors will unlock, showing what Edward and James Kidd came to the temple to find. After the next cutscene, the “Sage’s Buried Secret” mission is finished.
