Stardew Valley Turns 10 With Official Crochet Book Featuring 45 Projects
Stardew Valley is turning 10 this year, and the celebration doesn’t stop at the upcoming 1.7 update. A new Stardew-themed crafting book is also on the way: The Official Stardew Valley Crochet Book. Published by the same team behind the Stardew Valley cookbook, it’s aimed at helping you stitch up your own Junimos, Slimes, and even a pair of Lucky Purple Shorts.

Pricing depends on where you look. Amazon lists both the digital and hardcover editions at $32, but other retailers show the eBook price as $13.99. Amazon’s listing appears to match that number due to a discount, though it may not feel like a “real” markdown. On the hardcover side, Barnes & Noble has trimmed a couple dollars from the preorder cost, bringing it down to $29.
For that money, the book promises 25 distinct base patterns—then adds a wide set of variations on top, bringing the overall total of “styles” to 45. Most of the designs lean into amigurumi, a crochet approach that creates small, three-dimensional creatures, which fits nicely with Stardew Valley’s collectible cast of critters.
One variation called out in the announcement is a Void Egg pattern, alongside more typical egg options like standard white and brown. You can also expect plenty of color and styling alternatives for building a whole group of Junimos. Additional projects teased for the book include the Galaxy Sword, the Mermaid Pendant, and a pair of Lucky Purple Shorts.
With all those options, the finished pieces should work as cozy tabletop decor—or as genuinely thoughtful gifts for friends who also love the farming-and-fantasy rhythm of Stardew Valley.
The crochet book comes from the same publisher as The Official Stardew Valley Cookbook, which is often praised as one of the better gaming cookbooks available. Ryan Novak returns as a collaborator for this crochet release, while Megan Lapp is credited as the designer for the actual patterns. If you want a preview of the kinds of stitches and finishes to expect, you can check out Megan Lapp’s existing crochet work through her website.
Even though there aren’t early images of what’s inside yet, the overall presentation has plenty of appeal. Beyond the patterns themselves, the official site describes the book as a Stardew Valley tribute that’s “packed with original illustrations as well as tips and headnotes from all your favorite characters.”
