Disney Dreamlight Valley Chapter 5 Guide: Honeyglow Woods Red Monster
After finishing “Chapter 4: A Tail Tale,” where you helped Eeyore retrieve his tail after it got stuck under the bridge in the Gloommeadow, the next step in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Honeyglow Woods expansion is “Chapter 5: The Big Red Monster.” In this quest, Eeyore’s home biome becomes the center of yet another problem you’ll need to solve.
Checklists
In “Chapter 5: The Big Red Monster,” you’ll be looking to help Eeyore handle more issues in the area he calls home. It picks up right after the previous story beats in Gloommeadow, continuing the Honeyglow Woods expansion’s focus on keeping the biome running smoothly while Eeyore deals with what’s happening around him.
Craft A Sword And Helmet
Start by talking to Eeyore. He roams around the Gloommeadow because he still doesn’t have a House. He usually hangs out near the river or the wooden gazebo positioned on the left side of the biome.
Eeyore explains that while you restored the river’s flow during the last quest, there are still plenty of dried flowers left around the area. Unfortunately, he believes watering them is unsafe, because a terrifying “Big Red Monster” is said to live near the Everoak Tree—and it never sleeps.
You reassure Eeyore by suggesting you can act as brave knights, taking on the monster the way Christopher Robin’s stories describe.
To move forward, you’ll need the materials to craft the Storybook Sword and the Heroic Helmet.
Storybook Sword
- Driftwood x 2 – fish it from open water outside ripples, and it can drop when you remove Twistroots
- Hardwood x 4 – forage it from the ground near trees in the Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, Frosted Heights, Sunlit Plateau, or Pixie Acres
- Honey Agate x 2 – mine it from Rock Spots anywhere in Honeyglow Woods
- Rose & Cream Foxglove x 3 – pick it in any Honeyglow Woods biome (it shows up particularly often in Drowsybloom Acre)
Heroic Helmet
- Driftwood x 3 – fish it from open water outside ripples, and it can drop when you remove Twistroots
- Sweet Chestnut x 8 – pick it from trees in Honeyglow Woods, including the trees near your House in Drowsybloom Acre
- Soft Limestone x 10 – mine it from Rock Spots anywhere in Honeyglow Woods
- Tree Resin x 10 – dig it up in any area of Honeyglow Woods
Once you’ve gathered everything, craft the Storybook Sword and Heroic Helmet at any Crafting Station. Examples include the station beside your House in Drowsybloom Acre or the one on the right edge of the Gloommeadow.
