Mob of the Dead Pack-a-Punch: How to Assemble the Plane Parts

Getting to Pack-a-Punch in Mob of the Dead isn’t just about surviving—it’s about assembling the plane. This map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 uses five separate plane components, and this guide walks you through where each one is, what puzzle or interaction is required, and how to use the parts to reach Pack-a-Punch and extend your time in the cycle.

In Mob of the Dead, nobody makes it out alive—but with an updated Easter egg approach, you can improve your odds of breaking the loop in Black Ops 2.

How to Get the Warden’s Key in Mob of the Dead

Before you can collect plane pieces, you’ll first need the Warden’s Key. The key can spawn in two different locations, but the method for grabbing it is the same—just make sure you’re ready with Afterlife.

  • Warden’s Office – Head right through Broadway’s cell block to reach the Warden’s Office. The key hangs above the door to the Citadel Tunnels. Use Afterlife to jump through the blue gate above, then zap the electrical panel on the left. After that, return to your body and collect the key.
  • Cafeteria – From the spawn area, go left to reach the Cafeteria. The key is hanging above the entrance. Activate Afterlife, then move to the right side and look up over the Showers room to find a blue gate you can jump into. From there, zap the electric panel.

How to Get the Engine in Mob of the Dead (Plane Part #1)

The Engine is located in the Warden’s Office, but the room is guarded by an electrified door—so you’ll need to shut it down first. Start by using Afterlife to jump into the blue door above the Warden’s Office, then go right and zap a voltmeter.

Next, head down to the Docks and enter Building 64. Inside, you’ll find three electrical panels that are already powered on, linked together by blue wiring. Follow those blue wires and shock all three panels to disable them. Once that’s done, you can enter the locked Warden’s Office room and grab the Engine.

How to Get the Sheets in Mob of the Dead (Plane Part #2)

The Sheets are in the Showers. To access the area, head to the entrance of the Cafeteria. Use Afterlife, then turn around to locate a blue door with a wall purchase nearby. Go inside and jump around the pipes to find a voltmeter that you can shock.

After the voltmeter is activated, return to your body and go into the Showers. Use the Warden’s Key to unlock the laundry room. While you’re in Afterlife, you can shock the voltmeter in this room, then interact with the laundry machine. That interaction triggers a 30-second lockdown, and once it ends, you can pick up the Sheets.

How to Get the Rigging in Mob of the Dead (Plane Part #3)

Go to the Citadel Tunnels and take the spiral stairs down toward the Docks. Before you enter the Docks, you’ll see a locked panel on the left. Unlock it with the Warden’s Key. Afterward, go back up to the top and enter Afterlife again.

As you walk back down to the now-unlocked panel while in Afterlife, look to your left for three random numbers. Enter those numbers using Afterlife’s zap effect on the panels. If done correctly, the elevator will drop for 60 seconds. Then, go down to the left and collect the Rigging.

How to Get the Gas Tanks in Mob of the Dead (Plane Part #4)

The Gas Tanks are found in the Docks. On the wall in the far-right section, find the sign near a door that can be opened with the Warden’s Key. Jump inside, then use Afterlife to shock the voltmeter and revive yourself to take the Gas Tanks. In co-op, you’ll need a second player to shock the panel to get you out of the room.

How to Get the Valves in Mob of the Dead (Plane Part #5)

The Valves are in the Infirmary, stored inside a box just to the right of the dog head you used to obtain Hell’s Retriever. To collect the Valves, open the box with the Warden’s Key and take them from inside.

How to Build the Plane and Get to Pack-a-Punch in Mob of the Dead

Once you’ve gathered all five plane components, head to the Infirmary. Enter Afterlife and go through the blue door that opens in the left hallway. Climb up to the vault area and reach the roof, where you can zap the Roof’s voltmeter to open the door. Then return to your body, access the Roof, and build the plane.

After you’re on the plane, it will fly to the Golden Gate Bridge. When you wake up, you’ll be standing next to Pack-a-Punch. After about 60 seconds, electric chairs will appear, letting you return to the island. You can also camp there from that point onward—just be careful, because Brutus the Warden can still show up.

How to Go Back to the Pack-a-Punch Room in Mob of the Dead

To return to Pack-a-Punch after leaving, you must revisit all five locations where you originally collected the plane parts. At each of those spots, you’ll now find fuel canisters, and you need to use all of them on the plane on the Roof to refuel it. Do this each time if you want the trip to work.

Building the plane is only the beginning of Mob of the Dead—there are still plenty of valuable items you can go after, and these guides cover the rest:

  • Blundergat Guide
  • Hell’s Retriever Guide
  • Golden Spork Guide
  • Acid Gat Guide
  • Zombie Shield Guide
