The Side Mission unlocks after finishing “Priority: The Citadel 2”, which refreshes the Citadel with brand-new Side Missions, including this one. The Citadel serves as the galaxy’s main hub and will always be located in the western portion of the Milky Way map.
Meet the Angry Elcor
Go to the Purgatory nightclub. From the elevator, head toward the Elcor positioned in the back-right corner of the balcony. You can catch him mourning the loss of the Code of the Ancients—described as the Elcor’s shared store of collective wisdom—suggesting there may be a way to help.
Before you travel out, it’s worth speaking with the Elcor in the Citadel Embassies to begin “Dekuuna: Elcor Extraction”. However, that conversation can’t happen until after “Priority: Rannoch”. The reason the guide recommends thinking about it now is that the quest items for the two missions are right next to each other when you reach the relevant region.
Find the Code of the Ancients
- Prerequisite: Complete “Priority: Rannoch”
- Location: Silean Nebula – Phontes – Dekuuna
You can’t recover the Code of the Ancients until you complete “Priority: Rannoch”. Once that’s done, the Silean Nebula cluster becomes available. The cluster is found close to the western edge of the Milky Way. From there, fly north to the Phontes system, which takes about 170 fuel.
Next, travel to Dekuuna, the second planet in the Phontes system. Use Scan to verify that you can retrieve something from it. Enter orbit, then fire a Probe at the location where the item is indicated so you can recover it.
While you’re in the area, the guide suggests running a full sweep of the cluster to pick up all available Search and Rescue items.
Deliver the Code of the Ancients
After you’ve secured the item, head back to the Angry Elcor and speak with him to turn in the Code of the Ancients. The completion rewards are +5 Reputation, 15,000 credits, and a boost of 40 TMS to the Citadel Defense Force.
