Assassin’s Creed IV Resynced: How to Finish Queen of Pirates, King of Fools

Queen of Pirates, King of Fools is the closing Templar Hunt quest in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag: Resynced and the fourth, final assignment for Upton Travers in Nassau. Here’s exactly how to locate and assassinate Vance Travers, deal with his accomplice Jing Lang, and wrap up the hunt.

Where to Start: Upton’s Final Request

The last Templar Hunt in this sequence is Queen of Pirates, King of Fools. When you’re ready to begin, head to Nassau’s swampy outskirts—Upton is waiting for you to the west.

Assassinate Vance Travers

Your first objective is to kill Vance. He’s located deep in the back of the swamp area, but you can avoid most of the guards by moving through the area using the tree branches as your route.

Once you reach Vance, you can take him out safely while positioned on a branch. After the assassination, the guards nearby will despawn—so you don’t need to clear the rest of the camp. You can also loot an additional chest in Vance’s camp before moving on.

Reach the Confrontation with Jing Lang

After Vance is dealt with, Jing Lang will show up. Follow the path to chase her down and reach the final confrontation.

Be aware that Jing Lang won’t take damage until she turns around to fight, so don’t waste ammo trying to hit her before she’s engaged.

When the fight begins, Jing Lang will call in two normal guards as backup. You can handle the trio quickly: land one parry to start a takedown chain on all three enemies, including Jing Lang. There’s also a chest located to the left of Jing Lang at the start of the encounter.

With Jing Lang defeated, return to Upton to finish the Templar Hunt.

What Comes Next: More Templar Hunts

Even though this is the final quest in Upton Travers’s Templar Hunt line, there are still three other Templar Hunts left to complete in Black Flag: Resynced. When you’re ready to keep going, sail out to take on the next targets to obtain more Templar Keys:
