Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced Global Preload Times Revealed

Ubisoft has confirmed the worldwide preload and launch schedule for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced, letting players plan exactly when they can start downloading—and when they can finally sail off into the Caribbean.

After years of anticipation and plenty of leaks, Edward Kenway’s long-awaited return is almost here. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced is a ground-up remake of the 2013 adventure, built for PC and modern consoles with upgraded visuals, quality-of-life gameplay changes, and additional story content.

Ubisoft has also reiterated an important design shift: the original multiplayer mode and the first-person “modern day” gameplay segments have been removed. The focus is now squarely on exploration across the Caribbean. With that in mind, here’s the full timing breakdown for preloads and releases by platform and region.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced preload and rollout timeline

Pre-loading begins first on Xbox Series X/S. For PC and PlayStation 5, Ubisoft says preloads start at 2pm UTC, or at 12am local time on July 7, respectively.

When the game actually unlocks is a bit more nuanced, but it follows a familiar pattern across regions. On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, you can begin your Caribbean voyage at midnight local time on July 7.

For PC players—via Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and the Epic Games Store—and for those using cloud streaming services GeForce and Blacknut, the unlock window depends on territory. Ubisoft’s stated reference times for July 7 are 10am Eastern / 7am Pacific / 3pm UK time.
