Travel to Widow

  • Location: Serpent Nebula – Widow – Citadel – Level 27

This assignment isn’t a big, reward-granting mission. It provides no rewards of any kind. Instead, it’s meant to guide you through your first visit to the Citadel.

To start it, travel to the Serpent Nebula in the southwestern area of the Milky Way, then continue to the Widow system, and finally board the Citadel.

When you arrive, move forward through the door straight ahead labeled “Zakera Ward” to enter the security checkpoint corridor. Since this is your first time on the Citadel, Shepard is flagged immediately as dead—a serious problem for Citadel Security. The solution is to speak with Captain Bailey.

Talk to Bailey

Once you leave the security checkpoint tunnel, go to the right. You should see a small office. Inside, a man at a desk is calmly but firmly telling another officer how to handle an interrogation. Talk to him to get everything sorted out—“sorted out” in a way that matches your preferences.

  • Choose “Can you fix it?”. Bailey will cut through the bureaucratic process and restore Shepard’s status to alive, sparing you nine weeks of unpleasant paperwork.
  • Choose “And I like it that way” or “Leave it alone.” Shepard will ask Bailey to keep the situation unchanged. In response, the C-Sec captain will only block the triggers that set off security alarms on the Citadel—meaning you can move around freely while still being officially listed as dead.

No matter which option you pick, once you finish this brief assignment, the task will be marked as completed.
