Peacock Guide: Plans, Pricing, and Subscriber Numbers Explained
Peacock is a streaming service from NBCUniversal, which sits under the broader Comcast Corporation umbrella. It debuted on April 15, 2020 as an Xfinity-only launch, then expanded to the public nationwide on July 15, 2020. In the most recent Q4 earnings update released in January 2026, Peacock was reported to have roughly 44 million paid subscribers.
Peacock Plans, Bundles, and Pricing
Subscription tiers
Peacock offers three subscription tiers, each available with monthly or annual billing options. Beyond the standard plans, there are also bundle choices that pair Peacock with other services, including Walmart+ and Apple TV. In July 2025, Peacock increased its pricing, and the new rates are reflected in the current plan structure.
Standalone plans
Peacock’s standalone subscriptions are built around its tier system, letting you choose how much content access you get and whether ads are included depending on the option you select.
Bundles and free trials
If you want the best bundle deal, Peacock’s Apple TV bundle (launched in October of last year) is positioned as the top option because it combines both services at a discount. That said, you only get ad-free viewing across both services when you choose the Premium Plus bundle.
Outside of Apple TV, you can also opt into a Walmart+ subscription, which includes access to either Peacock Premium or a Paramount+ plan. Walmart+ subscribers can switch between those two options every 90 days.
For players and streamers looking for a trial opportunity: Walmart+ is currently the only route to a Peacock free trial in 2026.
What You Get in the Peacock Library
Peacock Select vs. full access
Peacock’s Select plan is limited to TV content focused on NBC, Bravo, and a handful of other NBCUniversal-owned networks. To unlock the broader Peacock catalog, you’ll need to upgrade to one of Peacock’s Premium plans.
Premium upgrades open the door to movies and Peacock Originals, expanding beyond the network-heavy TV selection offered by Select.
Notable shows and Originals
Among the most recognizable titles on Peacock are major sitcom staples like The Office, Parks and Rec, and Law and Order. It’s also described as the exclusive home for certain Originals, including Paper and the latest season of The Traitors.
Movies, franchises, and Universal/Focus titles
Beyond TV, Peacock also provides access to films from Universal and Focus features. The library includes well-known franchises such as the Jurassic World movie series, Shrek, and all of the Kung Fu Panda movies.
The service also tends to get early access to Illumination releases, including films like The Super Mario Galaxy movie.
Live sports streaming
Peacock includes live sports streaming as part of its offering, with examples cited such as NFL football and the Olympics.
