The Commander’s Ruse Quest Guide: Find and Assassinate Kenneth Abraham

The Commander’s Ruse is a Templar Hunt quest in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. It’s the fourth and final mission in Anto’s storyline, with Anto being an Assassin based in Kingston. In this guide, you’ll learn how to locate and assassinate Kenneth Abraham.

The Commander’s Ruse

The Commander’s Ruse is the last Templar Hunt quest you’ll receive from Anto. To begin, head to the Kingston marketplace and find him there.

Anto explains how he plans to locate your target. Your first job is to tail guards who will lead you toward the correct area. If you’d rather skip the extra steps, you can also assassinate those guards to save time—the note left on their bodies will still point you to where you need to go.

It’s revealed that the officers are throwing a major party on the eastern side of Kingston. Follow Anto to the estate, then move into the tall grass within the gate and use Eagle Vision to get a clear view of the area.

Your first objective is to take out the two guards near the alarm bell that sits just ahead. Before you kill them, listen to their conversation. That intel lets you know Kenneth Abraham will be near the buffet.

After dealing with the guards, sabotage the alarm bell and keep moving north across the estate. Stay low and use bushes and tall grass to slip past guards patrolling the fields. Your target is positioned at the buffet behind the estate’s main residence—look for the large white house at the back.

Kenneth Abraham can be identified by his outfit: he’s the officer wearing a blue coat and a distinctive, fancy hat.

Because the area is packed, quietly removing Abraham is hard. Before you make your move, plan for a confrontation. Smoke bombs are especially useful here: they can create enough cover for you to assassinate Abraham and then retreat without getting pulled into a long fight with every nearby guard.

Once Abraham is down, confirm the kill and return to Anto to finish the quest. With this, Kingston’s Templar Hunt chain is wrapped up.
