Galatasaray were unable to recover after the interval. Buruk was sent from the technical area in the 72nd minute following protests, and the visitors’ difficult night worsened when Ugochukwu was dismissed for a late foul after VAR intervention.
Salah’s third goal arrived with 10 minutes remaining, completing his first hat-trick and ensuring he had a direct hand in every Trabzonspor goal.
Fabinho hailed his team-mate’s capacity to decide the biggest fixtures, saying Salah’s work rate gives the whole squad greater belief. “In major games, top players have to make the difference, and he does that,” the midfielder said. “He works extremely hard, and we are more threatening with him in the side. I am very happy for his first hat-trick and congratulate him.”
The result gives Trabzonspor 10 points and strengthens their position in the developing title race. It also offers Reis an ideal platform before the Super Lig pauses for the international break.
Trabzonspor’s staff will use the break to continue embedding the new manager’s approach, while Salah leaves for the window after a performance that underlined both his fitness and his influence on the side.
