PS Plus Members Can Claim Rocket League Cosmetic Bundle and More Freebies Now
PlayStation Plus subscribers on both PS5 and PS4 can claim a limited-time Rocket League cosmetic bundle before August rolls around. It’s a different kind of perk than the usual monthly “free games” drop, but it’s still the same basic idea: log in, claim the content, and add new style options to your garage.
At the same time, PS Plus is also winding down its current monthly offer. On June 30, the service is expected to deliver its final set of free titles for the month, including Black Desert, Farming Simulator 25, and Blades of Fire. Sony is then expected to announce the next PS Plus game lineup on Wednesday, July 1. Until that new list is revealed, members can focus on the Rocket League bundle available via the PlayStation Store.
Sony is also continuing to expand PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. Two additional games are being added to those tiers, bringing the June 2026 catalog up to five titles, with additional additions still expected later.
Rocket League Premium Cosmetic Pack Is Free for PS Plus Members
- Rocket League PlayStation Plus Pack can be claimed from the PlayStation Store
- Available until August 5, 2026, at 12:00 PM
- Requires an active PlayStation Plus subscription
- Claimable and usable on both PS4 and PS5
From now until August 5, 2026, players with a current PS Plus membership can pick up four premium cosmetics for Rocket League: the Heatwave Premium Animated Decal, Cristiano PW Premium Wheels, Rooster Comb PW Premium Topper, and Fractal Fire Premium Booster. Once the bundle is claimed through the PlayStation Store, you can switch over to the game’s Garage and open Customize Car. Each item can then be found in its matching customization category: Decal, Wheels, Topper, and Booster.
How to Claim It (and What to Do If It Doesn’t Show Immediately)
This same cosmetic bundle can also be obtained directly inside Rocket League. On PS4 and PS5, you can claim it via the game’s Add-Ons menu, which mirrors the store claim flow for the same content.

One thing to keep in mind: Rocket League might not automatically tag newly claimed cosmetics with a visible badge in the Garage. If the items don’t appear right away, restarting the game is recommended so the unlocks correctly attach to your account. If you’re still not seeing them, use the search tool within the customization menus to find each item in its relevant list rather than scrolling through everything.
Also note that Rocket League is free to play on the PlayStation Store, so you don’t need to buy the base game in order to claim and use these cosmetics. Because Rocket League is connected to Epic Games’ broader cross-game ecosystem, some of the items in this PS Plus pack may also show up in Fortnite under the Sports Car area. On top of that, the pack has reportedly landed well with players so far, with an average user rating of 4.35 stars based on more than 800 reviews.
PlayStation users are also reminded to sign in to claim their spot on the leaderboard—an in-game prompt tied to the broader ecosystem around the service and the title.
Why This Matters: Cosmetics Now, Bigger Tech Later
Beyond the immediate cosmetic win, Rocket League is also moving toward a larger visual overhaul. Epic Games and developer Psyonix have said the game is entering a new era, with an Unreal Engine 6 upgrade planned. While details are still limited, the expectation is that the update will bring the kind of current-gen presentation many PS5 players have been asking for.
A short teaser for the upgrade was captured in real time using the game itself. That means the improvements shown—such as enhanced lighting and more realistic car textures—are intended to be a practical preview of what players may eventually see after the engine transition.
