One Piece Day Reveals Film God Valley (2027) and Baad (2029)
During this year’s One Piece Day celebrations, two additional animated feature films were officially announced: One Piece Film: God Valley, slated for summer 2027, and One Piece Film: Baad, set to premiere in 2029. Both titles are tied to the franchise’s major milestone plans—one connected to the manga’s 30th anniversary and the other to the anime’s 30th.

Where the anime is headed right now
In recent months, One Piece’s TV anime—produced by Toei Animation—has shifted its broadcast pace. The series moved from a weekly episode schedule to an expected maximum of 26 episodes per year.
After a pause following the Egghead arc, the anime resumed with two consecutive cour that began last April. These runs bring the long-awaited Elbaph saga to screens.

During the break—spanning the latter part of 2025 into the early months of 2026—a revised and edited version of the Fish-Man Island saga aired. That recap version was compressed into 21 total episodes (down from roughly 60 episodes in the original run).
Separately, on July 5, the special episode One Piece Heroines was broadcast.

Eiichirō Oda launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Jump (published by Shueisha) in July 1997. The series currently stands at 115 volumes.
Alongside the main manga, the franchise includes numerous spin-off manga and novels, multiple animated adaptations (including the TV series and 14 films), video games, and a popular collectible card game—plus more beyond that.
