Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Reveals Final Heroes—Loki, Blade, and Deadpool
The last hero squad in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is finally out in the open, and it’s a lineup that leans hard into chaos: Loki, Blade, and Deadpool—who’s being called the “FGC’s favourite.”
Beyond the obvious appeal of a new Marvel fighting game from one of the most respected developers in the genre, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has stood out for its roster choices. Yes, you can expect familiar faces like Iron Man, Captain America, and Spider-Man, but the game is also willing to pull in sharper, stranger picks such as Carnage, Green Goblin, and Danger to keep matches feeling unpredictable.
Over the last several months, the game has been teasing which characters will anchor its different teams—ranging from Doom’s villain-heavy roster to Spider-Man’s friendly neighbourhood crew. The last revealed group, led by Ghost Rider, had a chance to be the most unexpected, and it’s lived up to that promise.
Ghost Rider’s Marvel Tokon Team Includes Deadpool, Blade, And Loki
Deadpool’s Moveset References Everything From Marvel Vs Capcom To Mortal Kombat
With EVO 2026 having wrapped up yesterday, Arc System Works marked the moment by unveiling the game’s final team: the Ghost Rider-led Samurai Outriders. Blade is the first character shown, and he’s presented as a fast, sword-focused fighter who can also switch up his approach with firearms.
Loki follows, and he’s not just bringing trickery to the roster—he’s also arriving with a brand-new Asgard stage. As you’d expect from the God of Mischief, his kit leans into deceptive, magical attacks designed for constant mix-ups. Between his staff and teleportation tools, he also has enough reach to make closing the distance a consistent headache.
The final character rounding out the Marvel Tokon launch lineup is Deadpool, who openly styles himself as the “FGC’s favourite.” True to his reputation, his fighting style is packed with references, with move choices that appear to directly nod to Mortal Kombat, Marvel vs. Capcom, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and even his earlier appearances across other fighting games.
Some players have gone a step further, claiming that at least one of Deadpool’s actions looks like it’s pulling from PlayStation’s cancelled mascot, Polygon Man. It’s unclear whether that’s truly what’s being shown, but the speculation has already caught on.
Deadpool is one of my personal favourites, so I’m naturally biased—but even so, the Samurai Outriders feel like the most surprising and exciting team the game has revealed so far. If you’re planning to play at launch, the full game is set to arrive in less than a few months on August 6, and an open beta is scheduled for next month.
