How to Use Diamonds Found in Ore in Moonlight Peaks
Diamonds are among the rarest resources you can pull from ore mining in Moonlight Peaks. Every Stone, Copper, Iron, and Gold node in the game has a small chance to drop a Diamond alongside the ore. The catch is that the game doesn’t clearly explain what Diamonds are for, so players end up testing them out and comparing results to figure out the most useful option.
You can also make your overall farm run more smoothly by leaning into magic—something you can expand over time with spells and wands, which you’ll want to track down as you progress.
What Should You Do with Diamonds in Moonlight Peaks?
In Moonlight Peaks, you’ve got three main directions you can take when you obtain a Diamond:
- Give it to an NPC as a gift
- Sell it through Chester
- Sell it through a Job Board quest
Gifting Diamonds
With a few exceptions, almost every NPC enjoys Diamonds, which makes them a solid go-to item when you’re trying to improve relationships.
When someone who likes Diamonds receives one, their heart meter increases, improving your standing with them. That can be especially helpful if you’re aiming for marriage and want to build the romantic relationship necessary to make it happen.

Selling Diamonds Through Chester
Once you unlock Chester—the chest seller available at the beginning of your playthrough—you can sell a wide range of what you gather, including items you farm, fish, mine, cook, craft, or forage. Diamonds fall into that valuable category, and each one can be sold for 2,000 Coins in Moonlight Peaks.
In most situations, selling Diamonds is the smarter move compared to gifting them. The main reason is simple: there are usually plenty of easier-to-obtain gift options for every character, meaning Diamonds are often better used for reliable money than for relationship grinding—unless you’re extremely short on gifts and need to push a relationship forward quickly.
Selling Diamonds Through Job Board
When the Job Board in town becomes available, you may eventually see a request asking for a Diamond. If it appears, you’ll have the opportunity to sell one for 10,000 Coins. This is, by far, the most profitable Diamond sale route you can take.

The problem is that this Job quest is extremely uncommon. It’s possible to finish an entire playthrough without ever seeing it. Because of that, it’s a good idea to keep at least one Diamond in personal storage as insurance—just in case the Job Board request shows up when you’re playing. If it never appears, you’ll still have the option to sell or gift the Diamonds you saved, but it’s unlikely that hoarding everything and waiting for the Job Board will pay off.
