Moonlight Peaks: Boost Carry Capacity and Make Loot Runs Easier
Inventory space in Moonlight Peaks is limited, and it’s easy to hit a wall mid-adventure when you’re constantly picking up loot. Even managing items becomes tricky once you start spending time at home, so improving storage is a big part of keeping your runs smooth.
Key takeaways
- You can raise your carry capacity by purchasing the Inventory Upgrade item from Sabrina at Webb of Wonders.
- The second Inventory Upgrade becomes available only after you buy the first one.
- With both upgrades, your personal inventory increases from 20 slots to 40 slots.
- Moonlight Peaks provides two core storage options beyond inventory upgrades: Storage inside your house and Storage Crates.
- House Storage is unlimited, but it can only be accessed while you’re inside your home.
How to Get Inventory Upgrade in Moonlight Peaks
In Moonlight Peaks, you expand your inventory space by buying the Inventory Upgrade item from Sabrina at the Webb of Wonders shop, specifically under the Tools tab.
The first Inventory Upgrade can be purchased right away, but the second upgrade won’t appear in the store until after you’ve bought the first one. Once you own both, your personal inventory doubles in size—moving from 20 slots up to 40 slots.

How to Manage Your Inventory in Moonlight Peaks
Aside from the Inventory Upgrades, Moonlight Peaks gives you two main ways to handle overflow:
- Home Storage
- Storage Crate
Home Storage
Inside your house, the game offers infinite storage. You can keep as many items as you want without worrying about running out of space. In-game, this feature is simply labeled “Storage.”
- To place items in Storage: Enter your house, open your inventory, choose the item you want to store, and press “Store.” If you’re storing a stack, pick how many items you want to put away, and the game deposits them instantly.
- To take items out of Storage: Go into your house and open Storage by pressing G on PC or using the D-Pad Down on controller. Locate the item you want to retrieve and confirm your selection. If your inventory has no empty space, the item will be dropped on the ground.
The major limitation with personal Storage is access: you can only use it while you’re inside your house. That means every time you need to store or retrieve something, you’ll have to go back in, which can slow down your routine.
If you play on PC, there’s an option to ease that friction by using the “House Storage Anywhere” mod, letting you access Storage even when you’re outside the house and reducing the biggest drawback of this storage method.
Storage Crate
Storage Crates are craftable storage devices you build at a Workbench using 10 Planks. Each Storage Crate provides 12 slots and can be placed anywhere across your farm, so you can set up your base layout around how you actually play.

The standout advantage of Storage Crates compared to Home Storage is convenience. You don’t need to enter and exit your house every time you want to open storage.
If you’ve set up crafting stations outdoors, you can place a Storage Crate right beside them for faster grabbing and returning. On top of that, Storage Crates are easy to relocate when you want to redesign your base—something House Storage doesn’t allow.
