Hello Kitty Island Adventure: The Fruits of Fashion Quest Chain Guide
Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s City Town quest chain continues with “The Fruits of Fashion,” a new set of tasks that starts after “Tailor’s Block” and ends with Tuxedosam staging a fashion show concept while Hello Kitty tests a wildly specific dango flavor.
Checklists
“The Fruits of Fashion” is a Quest chain entry tied to the City Town region, and it wraps up with Tuxedosam putting together a fashion show idea and ultimately paving the way for an Outfit Emporium. The quest is preceded by “Fashion Forward” and “Tailor’s Block.”
You can start it on the next real-time day after finishing “Tailor’s Block.” It also requires at least one additional day after completing “Talent Time,” since the Theater needs to be open and running.

Tuxedosam’s Announcement
Begin by talking to Tuxedosam, who is likely posted in his Shop. He shares that he has an announcement and asks you to meet him back in City Town.
In City Town, go to the Theater and speak with Tuxedosam inside. The Theater sits on the eastern rooftop area, and you can reach it via the elevator tube next to Piano Plush Pals. Tuxedosam explains that City Town inspired him to craft outfits for different characters, then host a fashion show based on those designs.
Pick Fruit for Hello Kitty
Tuxedosam chooses Hello Kitty as the starting point, so head to her Cafe in the Seaside Resort. When you speak to her, she hands you a Red Bow Apple Pie and says she’s getting bored of always baking with apples.
He suggests Hello Kitty explore the fruits grown in Keroppi’s Orchard. Make your way there—it’s located next to the City Rooftop Fast Travel Mailbox.
Once you’re in the Orchard, talk to Hello Kitty and help her sample multiple fruits. Pick the following by approaching the trees and selecting the hand icon when it appears:
- Lychee x 1
- Mango x 1
- Plum x 1
After that, gift Hello Kitty one of each fruit. She tries them and enjoys the flavors, but she doesn’t end up liking any more than apples—leaving her disappointed.
Make a Unique Dango for Hello Kitty
Frustrated, Hello Kitty decides to go all-in and asks you for a dango with the strangest flavor she can imagine: Tart Chocolate Egg.
Travel to the Imagination Cafe and use the Chef’s Station to create three Tart Chocolate Egg Dango. You’ll need:
- 3 x Stick — found in the Seaside Resort, Gemstone Mountain, or Snow Village; also awarded as a bonus when catching Clamfish
- 3 x Tart Mochi
- 3 x Rice Flour — made at the Chef’s Station using Rice, as a return gift from Usahana
- EITHER 3 x Plum OR 3 x Cherry — picked from trees in Keroppi’s Orchard
- 3 x Chocolate Mochi
- 3 x Rice Flour — made at the Chef’s Station using Rice, as a return gift from Usahana
- 3 x Chocolate Coin — found in and around the Shipwreck area of Rainbow Reef
- 3 x Egg Mochi
- 3 x Rice Flour — made at the Chef’s Station using Rice, as a return gift from Usahana
- 3 x Egg — rewarded for completing the “Rockadoodler Roundup” mini-game
The Fruits of Fashion — Cooked Tart Chocolate Egg Dango
When you’re done, give one dango to Tuxedosam and one to Hello Kitty (they should still be up on the roof by the Orchard). They’ll both react that the flavor isn’t very good, and the moment turns into a simple lesson: you don’t always need to chase the most inventive food idea—sometimes the classics hit hardest.
The Quest finishes here, with Tuxedosam continuing to brainstorm Hello Kitty’s next outfit.
