Tour City Town With Badtz-Maru

Speak with Badtz-Maru, who is located at his Comic Stand on the Seaside Resort Docks. He tells you he’s ready to head to City Town, even though he’s still visibly nervous.

Meet Usahana in the City Town City Center and talk to her there. She’s glad Badtz-Maru came and is eager to convince him that City Town is worth his worries. To help, she plans to walk him through the best places around town.

Follow Usahana to the Imagination Cafe and talk to her there. Badtz-Maru admits he loves the Imagination Cafe, but he panics as he runs from the mailbox to the cafe with his eyes closed.

Follow Usahana back to the City Center and talk to her near Pekkle’s Music Shop. The shopkeepers are excited to hear that Badtz-Maru is opening an Arcade, and they all try to persuade him that the idea is a great one.

After that, meet Usahana and Badtz-Maru in Keroppi’s Orchard. To get to the Orchard, head left from the City Rooftop Fast Travel Mailbox. When you talk to Usahana and Badtz-Maru there, he finally admits he’s scared of the Sewers. He says he’d be happy to place the Arcade in City Town as long as it’s far away from the Sewers.

Go right, passing Tuxedosam’s Outfit Emporium, to find a new storefront at the corner of the roof. Talk with Badtz-Maru there, and he reveals his new Arcade. He’s thrilled with both the Arcade itself and its location.

Play Perplexing Pipes

Badtz-maru tells you that a single arcade machine has appeared in his new Arcade, and asks you to play it. That machine is Perplexing Pipes, and your task is to play one round to finish the quest (you do not have to win). Each round costs 1 City Coin.

You can pick from three difficulty settings: Easy, Medium, and Hard. No matter what you choose, the goal is to solve a pipe puzzle using as few moves as you can. You must rotate the pipes until all of them connect. Pipes will always rotate clockwise.

When you play Arcade mini-games, you earn Badtz-Maru Buckaroos. Right now, those Buckaroos can be used to spin the Treasure Tumbler and receive figurines shaped like various characters. The Prize Counter is not yet available for exchanging Buckaroos.

Talk to Badtz-Maru again. He’s delighted about the Arcade, and then a Dream Fragment appears and heads toward the Fog. Usahana asks you to meet her outside the Arcade. Step outside and talk to Usahana; she explains that she’s determined to figure out what’s happening in City Town once and for all as the quest wraps up.
