GTA 6 Gameplay Leak Hype Sparks Misinformation as Fake AI Clips Spread

The entire games industry is currently fixated on a fresh wave of short Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay snippets—and the situation is getting messier by the minute. Alongside the new claims circulating online, multiple accounts have been created in an attempt to ride the attention, spreading misinformation and AI-generated “clips” that are being mistaken for real leaks.

More accounts, more confusion

A user running an X account called GameVerse claimed that the person behind the earlier CyberLeek leak supposedly shared another update just hours later. The new claim says that GTA 6 will include a special in-game currency that can be exchanged for real money, with a comparison to Robux from Roblox. The same account said it would provide more details later.

Despite the attention, many people are skeptical—largely because the credibility of the alleged leaker is under heavy doubt. Since yesterday, numerous profiles using the name CyberLeek or variations of it have appeared. Several of them post conflicting information and fragments of gameplay that are claimed to be from GTA 6, but are widely suspected to be generated by AI.

One example highlighted by community sleuths involves a profile called MrCyberLeek. A post there reportedly encouraged followers to “collect energy” for the day, implying a major reveal would follow. However, a community related to “GTAVI Mapping” conducted an investigation and concluded that the account was fake, a finding shared by user ben.

Another concern came from GameRoll’s report that an account using the handle cyberleek_ar_io may not belong to the genuine GTA 6 source either, because it previously shared AI-generated content. That matters because the same profile reportedly posted a claim about “2–4 upcoming leaks” yesterday, and that message was viewed more than 10 million times.

Meanwhile, the owner of an account named cyberleekario reportedly added a disclaimer in the profile description, stating it is not the official CyberLeek account but a fan account. Even so, the account continues to publish material labeled as “GTA 6 leaks,” and the posts reportedly show inconsistencies—for example, the minimap shape changes from video to video—leading many players to treat new uploads with caution.

Why players are being told to doubt what they see

  • New “leak” accounts using the CyberLeek name have multiplied since the first reports.
  • Some profiles have reportedly published AI-generated gameplay-looking clips.
  • Community checks have already flagged at least one account as likely fake.
  • At least one high-visibility claim (“2–4 upcoming leaks”) reportedly spread from an account later questioned for AI content.
  1. A first leak-related discussion around GTA 6 gameplay begins circulating online.
  2. GameVerse claims the same alleged leaker (CyberLeek) later shared another update.
  3. Fresh claims appear about GTA 6 featuring a currency exchangeable for real money, compared to Robux.
  4. In parallel, many accounts using CyberLeek-related names are created and post conflicting “leak” material.
  5. Community members investigate specific profiles and label some as fake or unreliable.
  6. With multiple dubious sources gaining attention—including a post viewed over 10 million times—players are increasingly urged to treat new “leaks” as unverified.
