Genshin Impact Weapon Banner Guide: Epitome Invocation, Pity, Planning Tips

Genshin Impact’s weapon banners are more than just a rotating set of rate-ups—they’re a planning tool. If you care about securing specific 5-star gear, the Epitome Invocation system and its separate pity mechanics can matter as much as which weapons are currently featured.

Checklists

The Genshin Impact Weapon Banner, using the Epitome Invocation format, includes boosted drop rates for two featured 5-star weapons, along with a selection of 4-star weapons. The exact lineup on Epitome Invocation shifts regularly, and it usually lines up with the release rhythm of new character banners. For players tracking timing, the broader Genshin Impact Banner Schedule is referenced for additional details.

In many cases, the two 5-star weapons running on Epitome Invocation are thematically tied to the Genshin Impact Character highlighted during the corresponding character banner window. Beyond the usual banner odds, Epitome Invocation has its own dedicated pity system named Epitomized Path.

Introduced in Version 2.0, Epitomized Path lets you pick which of the two featured 5-star weapons you want to aim for. After you make that selection, the game tracks progress through a Fate Point system. If you pull the other featured 5-star weapon instead of your chosen target, you still earn a Fate Point. With 2 Fate Points, the next time you receive a 5-star weapon from that banner, you are guaranteed to get the weapon you selected.

What is the current weapon banner?

For Phase 2 of Version 6.6, the current Genshin weapon banner features the 5-star A Thousand Blazing Suns Claymore and Disaster and Remorse Polearm.

What is the next weapon banner?

The upcoming Genshin weapon banner for Phase 1 of Version 6.7 has not been confirmed yet.
