Gamescom in Cologne didn’t just feed fans with more hands-on looks and fresh reveals—it also reshuffled release schedules and reminded everyone why the “next week” in gaming news is always packed. Here’s what was newly added across key genres, which major launches shifted dates, and what platforms are getting new ports, based on the latest update round.

Afterworld (PC) — A post-apocalyptic strategy where you lead a survivor tribe, build settlements, wage wars, handle politics, and research ancient tech.
ShoreTiles (PC) — A strategy that blends daytime island building tile-by-tile with nighttime defense against aquatic creatures, using randomly generated tile decks.
Dungeon Settlers (PC) — A dungeon-crawler/strategy hybrid: explore underground areas, build a settlement near dungeon entrances, recruit a four-person party, and fight tactical encounters. Early access launches September 4.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Tactics (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S) — A turn-based tactical spin-off set around clashes between Rainbow operators and terrorists, including hostage rescues and explosive ordnance disposal.

Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch) — A collection of six classic run-and-gun shooters from the Alien Breed series, originally debuting on Amiga, now with updated visuals, modernized controls, extra modes, local and online co-op, and behind-the-scenes materials.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Nuevo Paraiso — The Forgotten Frontier (PC) — A mod expanding RDR2’s world with a Mexico region packed with new characters and activities.
Cutout (PC) — A side-view action adventure where you cut off enemy limbs to take their movement, abilities, and attacks, playing as Lena as she fights for acceptance and for the survival of a dying forest.
Blood Dungeon (PC) — A platformer-meets-arena survival title from the creators of Nidhogg, featuring fights against hordes while jumping across platforms, avoiding traps, and navigating obstacles. New characters and upgrades unlock as you progress.
Nodusfall (PC) — A third-person action game by HoyoVerse (also known for Genshin Impact), designed primarily for co-op multiplayer and built around dynamic battles against powerful enemies.
Elta: Defy All Gods (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S) — A third-person action adventure where you traverse a hostile planet, fight enemies using three combat stances, and face platforming challenges. Releases in Q1 2027.
TankRat (PC) — A roguelite action adventure where you pilot a nimble tank through a post-apocalyptic world, fighting dynamically, collecting resources, and moving across varied biomes. Releases January 15, 2027.
