Destiny 2 Titan Solo Endgame Build Lets Players Melt Raid Bosses
A Destiny 2 player has shared a Titan-focused build that’s designed to shred hard endgame targets and even clear raid bosses solo, deleting enemies as if they were trash mobs. With the game’s last scheduled updates set to land in June and the title shifting into a long-term “forever meta” situation, the upside is that strong builds can stay relevant for years—especially if Bungie’s support cadence slows even further. Still, the road to testing that meta just got bumpier: a hotfix that was planned for June 30 ended up delayed indefinitely after broad layoffs hit the Destiny 2 team.
Monument of Triumph returns players, but support timelines slip
Bungie recently carried out large-scale layoffs tied to Destiny 2, including 292 confirmed job cuts within the studio, plus additional reductions impacting SIE roles and contractors. The immediate consequence for players is that there’s no longer a dedicated group available to address problems quickly, which is why the hotfix expected for June 30 has been pushed back without a new date.
Even with the negative news, the Monument of Triumph update brought a major wave of returning players. After roughly three weeks, Steam activity hasn’t dropped off dramatically, suggesting that many people are still logging in—either to finish endgame goals, revisit older content, or see what the new build ecosystem looks like right now.
For anyone still playing (or looking for a reason to jump back in), there’s now a standout solo-capable Titan setup built around a “boss delete” approach—though getting everything together takes some effort.
Say hello to a Monument of Triumph Titan that can solo raid bosses
Destiny 2 creator milito posted a clip showing their Arc Titan racking up nearly 90,000 damage on the Shooting Range. They reported a DPS close to 6,000, using Pulse Grenades alongside Armamentarium, Witherhoard, and a rocket launcher. After demonstrating the numbers, milito took the same core idea into the Root of Nightmares Raid and went for a solo clear of Zo’aurc, Explicator of Planets—using a straightforward loadout swap right before the damage phase.
The core concept is extreme single-target damage while staying sustainable enough to stay in the fight. For the final damage window, milito leans on the Apex Predator rocket launcher loaded with Cluster Bombs, then layers in grenade-energy acceleration using Collective Demolition to fuel the next cycle.
On top of that, the Touch of Thunder Aspect is used to generate Ionic Traces whenever Pulse Grenades hit enemies. Those traces are then repeatedly triggered as the build spams grenades. That loop also contributes to reloading the rocket launcher through the Armamentarium Exotic’s built-in Demolitionist perk, letting the damage rhythm stay tight.
For further damage, Storm’s Keep is brought in for heavy output through Bolt Charge, while Witherhoard is used to apply a boss weakening effect via the Weakened Clear perk. Weakened Clear is tied to an Artifact from the Monument of Triumph update called Slayer Baron Apothecary Satchel. Finally, the rotation caps with Thundercrash—presented as one of the strongest damage-dealing Supers—used to land a major burst at the boss during the appropriate phase.
Before the damage moment, milito keeps the same Arc subclass framework but swaps Exotics and weapons to handle add clearing more efficiently. In that setup, they use the Dead Messenger Exotic grenade launcher, which fires shots that generate three Arc wave projectiles per trigger. To stay alive during the encounter, they pair it with the Exotic helmet Precious Scars, which grants Restoration, making survivability far more consistent.
It’s still not fully clear which specific armor set bonuses milito is using from the Monument of Triumph update (or whether previous armor sets are involved), but the overall play pattern is easy to understand: Arc grenade spam for resources, Thundercrash for burst, and a rocket/Witherhoard damage layer that melts the boss.
How the build stacks damage, and what to try next
When it comes to weapon and damage scaling, one of milito’s strongest options is the new set tied to Spire of the Watcher. The reason is a reported 7% damage boost from its 4-piece bonus. If you want another direction—particularly because Iron Banner armor is introduced on June 30 (today at the time of the build’s discussion)—the 4-piece from that set is another route to consider for more Super energy in crowded fights.
That Iron Banner-style approach grants Super energy after the Super ends based on how many kills you get, which makes it less effective against boss-only encounters with no adds. However, it can be excellent in modes where kills are frequent, including Grandmaster activities or Ultimate Vanguard Alerts.
Overall, the build is presented as usable across “any solo endgame activity,” combining strong damage with survivability tools. With the game entering its final-update window and fewer immediate support changes expected, that kind of stable, long-lasting build philosophy is exactly what players want right now.
