Destiny 2 Deadline: Claim the Free Cosmetic Bundle by July 7
Destiny 2 is offering a free cosmetic bundle, but there’s a hard deadline: players only have until July 7 to claim it before it disappears. The move lands as the game’s Monument of Triumph update continues to draw praise, bringing a flood of new stuff for Guardians to chase.
That update has been a big win for the community, with fresh armor sets, new weapons, and even an Exotic mission that some players consider among the best the game has ever offered. Still, the timing is bittersweet—Monument of Triumph is also the final major update for Destiny 2, and it’s been made clear that future support won’t be realistic even with emergency fixes.
Quick facts
- Destiny 2 players must claim the free cosmetic before July 7 or it won’t be available anymore.
- The Monument of Triumph update is described as a major success, with new armor, weapons, and an Exotic mission.
- The free cosmetics bundle includes the Deadlands Armor set, sparrows, shaders, and more.
- Codes are provided for claiming the bundle.
- An NPC shader from Ada-1 is available for 10,000 Glimmer until the July 7 cutoff.
Players can redeem the giveaway via codes provided by Bungie. The bundle includes the Deadlands Armor set, sparrows, shaders, and additional cosmetics, all aimed at giving you a quick runway into new looks without spending real money.
Destiny 2 NPC is Selling a Shader That Has Never Been Obtainable Before
A Tower vendor is now selling something longtime players have been waiting on. Ada-1 has a Shader for sale that was never actually purchasable in-game before, despite having been present in the game’s API for years through a Festival of the Lost entry.
The item is named Alchemy Scorch. It was pulled from the game files nearly six years ago via datamining, but it never made a proper debut until now—meaning this is the first time players can obtain it through normal gameplay.
Getting it is straightforward: the Shader costs 10,000 Glimmer. That’s especially nice because many new or limited Shaders typically rely on Bright Dust, while Glimmer can be earned by running just about any activity, so it’s less of a bottleneck than usual.
The main limitation is time. Ada-1’s stock changes on the Tuesday reset, and players only have until July 7 to claim Alchemy Scorch before it potentially rotates out of her inventory.
