Assassin’s Creed IV Remastered Fireship Mission Walkthrough Guide

The Fireship is the twenty-sixth mission in the main story of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remastered, and it’s the last chapter in Sequence 7. The plan is simple: put those explosive kegs to work, make a statement, and show the British army what piracy is really made of. This walkthrough covers how to deliver the fireship to its destination and keep it alive through the chaos.

Checklists

The Fireship is the twenty-sixth mission in the main story of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remastered, and it’s the fourth and final mission in Sequence 7. Now it’s time to put those kegs to good use and show the British army exactly what a pirate is made of. In this walkthrough, you’ll learn how to get the fireship where it needs to go and defend it during the run.

How to Start The Fireship

You begin immediately after taking down the Commodore in “Commodore Eighty-Sixed” and climbing aboard the Jackdaw.

Before you set sail, talk with Anne. She’ll explain that Nassau has become dangerous for just about everyone.

Next, head east and link up with the fireship as it departs. As it sails away, stay close. This portion of the mission is all about escort duty: you’ll be defending the fireship and stopping it from getting destroyed.

Of course, defending a drifting target means you’ll have company. Before long, British forces will show up with a fleet determined to bring you down.

Protect The Fireship

For this section, the most effective approach I’ve found is to:

  • Target the larger vessels first, so you can immobilize them without fully destroying them.
  • Leave those ships in place afterward, since you may need them as a way to top up the Jackdaw’s health later on.
  • Once the big ships are handled, clear out the smaller boats. Heated Shots can make short work of them quickly.
  • After the smaller craft are gone, you can then either destroy or board the remaining larger ships.

When the area is finally clear, your next objective is to fire a shot at the Fireship. The projectile will travel to the blockade, where it’s set up to detonate.

Hold back and let the blast wipe out the ships. Then continue onward and sail toward 632, 923 to get away from Nassau.

As you try to escape, reinforcements will arrive. If your Jackdaw can handle the extra pressure, fight them. Otherwise, push faster and sail directly off to the map’s coordinates. You don’t have to fully clear the reinforcements before a cutscene triggers and you’re returned to Great Inagua.

When you regain control of Kenway, follow Adewale and head to the docks to meet Kidd.
