Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Claiming What’s Due Walkthrough Tips

“Claiming What’s Due” is the sixth mission in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and it’s a classic stealth-and-infiltration job: you’ll need to move through Torres’ estate, clear out a heavily guarded manor without drawing the wrong kind of attention, and reach the prisoner Edward needs to speak with. This walkthrough-style guide focuses on doing the mission safely while also flagging collectibles you may want to grab during your route.

Claiming What’s Due

Start by finding Stede at the tavern located in the south. Share a drink with him, then wait until night arrives so you can move freely around Torres’ estate. When the timing is right, you’ll be prompted to use a Smoke Bomb to slip in unnoticed, then jump through the opening in the fence positioned just west of the tavern.

Inside, you’ll immediately feel the pressure—this place is heavily guarded. Your target sits toward the northwest, but the smart play is to thin the patrols and reposition carefully so you don’t get overwhelmed on the way there.

Recommended Assassination Route

  • Turn on Eagle Vision and Observe the soldiers to mark them for easier tracking.
  • Take out the guard nearest the hole in the fence first to reduce early detection.
  • Watch the two soldiers patrolling nearby on looping routes so you can line up clean counterattacks.
  • Use a whistle to draw the attention of the guard positioned by the bamboo in the south.
  • Wait for the soldier on the loop to come close, then whistle again and assassinate him when he’s in range.
  • Head toward the southern grass and jump into the haystack for cover.
  • Whistle to lure the nearby soldier, then assassinate him once you’ve got him isolated.
  • Go west and lure the guard leaning against the building into the grass by whistling.
  • Face north and wait for the patrolling guard to complete his loop. Whistle to bring him in and take him down in the grass.
  • Stay close to the wall and continue west, getting behind the guard in the tower.
  • Eliminate the lone guard who’s separated from the others.
  • As you approach the tower, pause to Double Assassinate the two guards by the pigs.
  • Climb the tower and remove the gunner.
  • Dive off into the haystack below to keep moving without exposing yourself.
  • Head west and take the stairs upward.
  • Wait for the looping guard to pass by, then grab him from the bushes.
  • Assassinate the guard leaning against the wall of the building by hopping into the hay in the north.
  • Move northeast past the well and Double Assassinate the two guards. If you think they’ll spot you, use the well to whistle them over and finish them from a safer angle.
  • Go up toward the north and Double Assassinate the two guards near the table, then interact with the Letter from du Casse.
  • Move toward the manor, climb up to the roof, and avoid the large group of soldiers below.
  • Use observation to confirm the warden has the key.
  • Let the guards disperse, then head north along the rooftops and take out the two gunners.
  • While you’re up here, grab the viewpoint. There’s also a chest below you that you can reach by climbing down.
  • Go to the northern edge, wait for the warden to pass underneath, then leap down.
  • Assassinate the warden to obtain the key.
  • With the key secured, head to the prison in the west.
  • Vault the wall, approach the prison door, and use the key to unlock it.

After the cutscene plays, you’ll be dropped straight into the next mission: The Treasure Fleet.
