Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery Summer of Mystery: Daily Clue Guide and Locations

The “Summer of Mystery” event in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery asks you to crack a new clue each day in order to uncover hidden rewards scattered around Hogwarts. Since the challenge refreshes every 24 hours, this guide is set up to be updated throughout July with the newest hint and the exact place to look.

One important caveat before you chase any of these answers: you won’t see the Summer Mystery “solutions” until you’ve progressed far enough in the main story. Based on my experience, you need to move beyond the point where you talk with Hagrid about magical creatures in Year 1, Chapter 5.

And if you’re in the mood for nostalgia, the wider Harry Potter universe is packed with funny lines that still land with fans years later.

  • Solution: Go to the Dungeons and tap the glowing blue pot sitting on the floor. You can get there via the Castle Grounds.

July 2: Training Grounds

  • Hint: “The weather’s warm, and class is draining. You want to fly, so get to training.”
  • Solution: Head to the Training Grounds and tap the glowing blue broomstick on the ground. Access it through the Castle Grounds.

July 1: Castle Grounds

  • Hint: “Owl’s overhead, a tree with great roots, say hi to Hagrid, in today’s pursuit.”
  • Solution: Go to the Castle Grounds and tap the glowing blue-outlined owl perched on a rock in front of the willow tree. You can reach this location starting from the East Towers.

The Wizarding World is feeling active again, with HBO’s Harry Potter reboot making Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone feel newly relevant, while Harry Potter: Defenders of Hogwarts has fans looking ahead to what comes next.
