Checklists

The Treasure Fleet is the seventh mission in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and also the last mission in Sequence 2. In this walkthrough, you’ll be guided through the encounters you’ll face while attempting to liberate a pirate crew and seize control of your ship, along with methods to help you survive the memory sequence.

Retrieve Your Gear

You’ll regain control automatically after escaping, then you’ll be introduced to Adewale. Stay close to him as you clear the guards aboard the boat. Adewale handles part of the aggression as well, so the fight isn’t entirely on you. Once you’ve neutralized the guard positioned near your gear, grab it to proceed.

Adewale’s plan is to take a Brig, and once you’re out on deck, your next job is to save pirates. You’ll work your way across the fleet of boats—taking down pirates as you go and freeing any prisoners you find along the route.

Keep these pointers in mind throughout the operation:

  1. You can handle the boats using stealth and clears, or you can choose to fight your way through; either approach works, but Adewale won’t be standing by to assist once you get underway.
  2. You’ll be taught how to execute a heavy attack—simply hold the attack button down.
  3. A new opponent type enters the scene: heavy guards.
  4. If you’re caught on a single ship, the other ships won’t automatically notice you.
  5. Climbing the masts lets you drop onto unsuspecting guards from above.

When you reach the final boat, enter the hatch to move below deck. Use a double assassinate on the first two pirates you see, then eliminate the last two—both of them are posted separately and guarding on their own.

After you free the remaining prisoners, leap over to the smaller ship where the fighting is already underway.

Deal with the Captain next. You can accomplish this by quickly moving in for an assassination while you’re close, and once he’s down you’ll take immediate control of the ship.

From there, the encounter turns toward survival at sea: you’ll have to deal with the weather while also repelling pursuing boats.

  1. If you set up correctly, you can use explosive barrels—aiming from the rear helps line up the shots.
  2. Use L2 or LT to aim, then press R2 or RT to launch the explosive barrels.
  3. Finish the sequence by pressing R1 or RB to fire afterward, triggering the explosions.
  4. Press Square or X to brace against incoming attacks, reducing the amount of damage you take.
  5. Rogue Waves will appear—charge straight into them headfirst to keep the boat from taking damage.
  6. Avoid lightning strikes and tornadoes entirely.

Keep heading east toward your objective, and once the mission wraps up, Adewale will be recruited as Quartermaster.
