Miss Sexy Anime 2026 Semifinals Begin as MEGAMICLICK Round Reaches Late Stage
After the contest passed the midpoint of August, the event is now entering its late-stage bracket, setting up the next wave of semifinal matchups for both its MISS SEXY ANIME and MEGAMICLICK rounds. With participation down to roughly a tenth of the original field, the organizers are narrowing the competition to the most viable candidates for the final.
Semifinal bracket setup: fewer competitors, higher stakes
At this stage, the total number of contestants remaining sits at about 10% of the initial count. That means every competitor still in the running is treated as a legitimate contender for the title, as the contest shifts into smaller, more decisive groups.
- MISS SEXY ANIME final-round qualifiers are determined through “three-way” challenges.
- These three-way challenges include both a single vote and an additional, riskier “pair vote” option, which has previously led to surprising outcomes.
- MEGAMICLICK is also moving through a round-structured elimination, with multiple groups used to decide who advances.
MEGAMICLICK: how the next race round selects quarterfinalists
For MEGAMICLICK, the contest is in a second race round. The organizers report 31 contestants still active, divided across 8 races featuring 3 or 4 competitors per race to determine which contestants reach the quarterfinal stage.
Testimonial and contest mechanics
- For each appointment, the outgoing champion serves as the testimonial: Yuki Suou, the winner of the 2025 edition, associated with Roshidere / Alya Sometimes Hides her feelings in Russian.
- MEGAMICLICK group fights use only single voting—everyone is matched “all against all” within each group, and only one contestant per group advances.
- The contest includes a dedicated contest blog.
Voting rules shared across these phases
- A “bonus waifu” is applied, meaning votes from the male audience carry more weight.
- As the contest progresses, the organizers add a small threshold for voting to emphasize the most consistent community members.
- Points can be earned through comments on news/episodes and through reviews.
MISS SEXY ANIME semifinal scoring + today’s MEGAMICLICK session
The MISS SEXY ANIME semifinal challenge format is a three-way match: 1 vs 1 vs 1 with a single vote structure, but with multiple scoring options depending on how voters choose to allocate their support.
- A single candidate vote is weighted at 1.00.
- A pair of candidates vote assigns a weighted value of 0.70 to each contestant.
- Voting for all three candidates (described as a “positive abstentionist” version) assigns a weighted value of 0.40 per contestant.
- Using the “negative abstentionist” option applies a malus of -0.50 for each contestant.
After votes are tallied, points are summed into a total. The contest rounds decimals by specific rules: totals with a decimal between 1 and 5 are rounded down, while those between 6 and 9 are rounded up. There is only one winner per matchup who advances to the final, and any ties are resolved via “floating” tiebreakers.
