Black Ops 1 & 2 Shadowdrop on PS4/PS5 With Limited-Time DLC Sale
Old-school Call of Duty players have a reason to jump back in: Black Ops favorites BO1 and BO2 are now available on both PS4 and PS5, with a limited-time discount that cuts the base games and their DLC.
Black Ops 1 and 2 hit PS4/PS5 with a major sale
Call of Duty: Black Ops (BO1) and Call of Duty: Black Ops II (BO2) are priced at $40 each under normal conditions, but PS Plus members can buy them for $20 per title. The offer runs until August 6, giving subscribers a tight window to grab both games on PlayStation.
On top of the base-game discount, each title’s Season Pass is also marked down to $10 from its usual $30. The deal is cross-buy, meaning one purchase lets players access the PS4 and PS5 versions without buying separately.
As part of the promotion, the BO2 personalization packs are available for free. They’re unlocked through a single bundle, so players don’t need to hunt down individual items.
What’s changed for DLC, and what it means for players
Black Ops 1’s Season Pass is being added as a new option for this PlayStation release. On PS3, players previously had to buy each piece of DLC separately rather than relying on a bundled Season Pass.
For Black Ops 2 on PS5, the update is essentially a port of the 2012 original. That means the weapons and loadouts that defined the game’s best meta back then are expected to remain relevant for players jumping in during July 2026.
