Black Ops 2 Zombies Super Easter Egg: Complete the Tranzit Quest Chain

The Victis crew has fought through absolute chaos just to end the nightmare, and the idea of a “super easter egg” in Black Ops 2 Zombies suggests there may finally be closure for that storyline. Still, the twist is that “closure” might not mean a good outcome. This BO2 Zombies super easter egg asks you to clear the easter egg quests in Tranzit, Die Rise, and Buried, plus track down NAVcards and load them into the NAVcard readers on the next map. Below, you’ll find the full route for gathering every required item, along with what each version of the super easter egg ultimately delivers.

No one escapes alive in Mob of the Dead, but a refreshed easter egg walkthrough for Black Ops 2 Zombies gives players a better shot at breaking the loop.

How to Complete the Super Easter Egg in BO2 Zombies

To finish the BO2 Zombies super easter egg, you must first have completed the easter eggs in Tranzit, Die Rise, and Buried on either the Maxis path or the Richtofen path. You can follow guides for both routes:

  • Tranzit (Maxis)
  • Die Rise (Maxis)
  • Buried (Maxis)
  • Tranzit (Richtofen)
  • Die Rise (Richtofen)
  • Buried (Richtofen)

After you finish an easter egg, the map icons in the lobby will switch to indicate your chosen side: orange for Maxis or blue for Richtofen. Next, you must locate NAVcards in each map and insert them into the NAVcard readers of the following map.

When you’ve provided every NAVcard (locations are detailed further down), head back to Buried and enter the Courthouse. In the downstairs area, you’ll find a box featuring a giant button you need to press. If the lights are blue, you’ll trigger Richtofen’s ending; if they’re orange, you’ll trigger Maxis’ ending. Each ending wipes the super easter egg cycle and forces you to start again, but still awards different rewards depending on the game you’re currently in.

You’re essentially building a repeating chain using NAVcards in this order: Tranzit NAVcard to Die Rise > Die Rise NAVcard to Buried > Buried NAVcard to Tranzit. Both the NAVcards and the NAVcard tables remain persistent between matches, and the guide below also covers where to find both the NAVcards and the tables.

Tranzit NAVcard & Table Locations

The Tranzit NAVcard is located at the Bus Depot. Go to the Mystery Box spawn, then move behind it to find the NAVcard sitting in a pile of trash on the floor. Once you grab it, you can bring the Tranzit NAVcard into Die Rise and enter it into the Die Rise NAVcard Table.

To construct the Die Rise NAVcard Table, collect all four pieces on the roof near the dragon statue; you’ll craft them under the pylon afterward. The components are:

  • The 115 Meteorite can be found in a trash pile between two windows and AC units.
  • The Wooden Board is opposite the NAVcard Table, beneath the ramp leading to the pylon.
  • The Radio sits just before the destroyed water tower, across from the ramp.
  • The Power Box is in the right corner of Dead Man’s Corner.

Die Rise NAVcard & Table Locations

You’ll find the Die Rise NAVcard down the escalator in the lobby (the spawn area). Take the first escalator downward and step into the first room available. The NAVcard is inside a display case with markings above it. After that, you can go into Buried and place the Die Rise NAVcard into the Buried NAVcard Table.

The Buried NAVcard Table becomes buildable after you teleport via the fountain at the center of the maze. There are four parts to track down: three are on the left side exit in the Barn, and the final one is near the NAVcard Table itself. The pieces are:

  • The Wooden Board is in a corner by the Barn.
  • The Radio is also in a corner by the Barn.
  • The Power Box sits in a corner by the Barn.
  • For the 115 Meteor, you must free Arthur from his cell, then use Booze so he smashes the fountain by the Ghost Mansion. After that, enter the Ghost Mansion, travel to the center of the maze, and use an explosive on the fountain. Once it’s cleared, jump in and locate the 115 Meteor to the right.

Buried NAVcard & Table Locations

The final NAVcard you need is in Buried. The NAVcard is located in the Ghost Mansion. Make your way through, and once you reach the exit toward the maze, turn left to leave the Ghost Mansion. There’s a shelf on the right holding the NAVcard—take it back to Tranzit in the Cornfield area, between the Farm and the Power Station.

The Tranzit NAVcard Table can be built in the Cornfields beneath the pylon. To reach it, stay on the left route after the Farm and continue toward the Power Station. Here’s where each build component is found:

  • The 115 Meteor is outside the Bus Depot entrance, inside the zombie barrier behind the Mystery Box.
  • The Wooden Table is either in the tunnel between Bus Depot and the Diner on the right side, or at the end of the metal bridge in the Power Station.
  • The Power Box can be found either to the left of the fridge in the Farm, or by the dumpster in Town where the Mystery Box spawns in the back alley.
  • The Radio is either on top of a locker in the garage at the Diner, or on a table in Nacht der Untoten. The Nacht der Untoten route is accessed by heading right of the Cornfields between the Farm and the Power Station.

Once all three NAVcards are placed into their correct NAVcard tables, you can return to Buried and press the button in the Courthouse. Before you do, though, confirm that all lights are active for every player—meaning everyone needs to complete the easter egg work.

Maxis Ending & Rewards (the Canon Ending)

Completing the Maxis super easter egg changes Buried so your screen gains an orange effect. The zombies revert to having orange eyes, and one zombie will have blue eyes. That zombie is Richtofen; he may speak quotes and will always drop a Power-Up when killed.

This outcome is treated as the canon ending for the Call of Duty Zombies narrative involving the Victis crew, where they supported Maxis. In that chain of events, Maxis leaves the Victis crew behind, takes Samantha’s soul from Richtofen’s body (as seen in the Moon easter egg), and sends it to Agartha. With this ending in place, the Primis crew begins their cycle starting with Origins, and this specific Maxis is wiped out by Doctor Monty.

Richtofen Ending & Rewards (the Non-Canon Ending)

Completing the Richtofen super easter egg grants a Permanent Fire Sale and a 4-gun Mule Kick. Stuhlinger’s eyes shift to blue, and he will occasionally deliver quotes alongside Richtofen. This reward package is described as far better than what Maxis provides, but it belongs to the non-canon route.

If Victis backs Richtofen, then Richtofen’s Aether powers intensify until he becomes effectively omnipotent. He uses that authority to erase Maxis, and then—since he can—he enters Stuhlinger’s body to continue fighting zombies indefinitely. Because this ending is non-canon, it doesn’t lead to much additional story payoff.
