Xenoverse 2’s Final DLC Teases the Next Game With a Post-Credits Hint
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s last DLC doesn’t just wrap up its Future Saga—its final post-credits beat also points players toward Xenoverse 3, offering a quick look at how the next chapter of the series will connect back to the current one.
Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC launches today on Xenoverse 2
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is concluding its long-running post-launch run today with the release of the Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC. As the final story expansion for the game, it puts your Time Patroller face-to-face with Fu, pushing back against his plan to weaponize time crystals for evil.
Although the timing is bittersweet for anyone who’s stuck with the game for years, the sting is softened by the fact that Xenoverse 3 is slated to arrive next year. Xenoverse 2 even nudges players toward that future with a hidden post-credits scene.

“I Can Only Imagine What The Future Looks Like”
Future Saga Chapter 4 launched today for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, but some players were able to access it early and shared details about what happens during the DLC’s endgame. That includes content creator DBZanto, who posted a video showing the secret post-credits scene that triggers after you finish the story mode.
Spoilers for Xenoverse 2 Future Saga Chapter 4 are ahead. You’ve been warned.
As the DLC’s main story comes to a close, Fu finally acknowledges that his actions were wrong. His motivations are framed as coming from friendship, even if the result is still disastrous, and he ultimately agrees to join the Time Patrollers—an ending that also makes him a natural candidate for a return later.
In the post-credits scene, Fu approaches the player character and displays his replica time ring. He says it still has enough “juice” for one more trip.
With that, Fu decides to take a “peek” into what’s ahead. The scene shows both characters arriving in West City, tied directly to Xenoverse 3’s reveal visuals (including a shot pulled from the reveal trailer players have already seen). Fu also comments that “the worst outcome’s gone,” and that the future feels brand-new and exciting—sentiments that will likely land with most Dragon Ball fans.
There’s also another small tease embedded in the DLC’s presentation: the expansion shows Trunks and the XV2 Time Patroller receiving fresh outfits, but it never actually reveals what those outfits look like on-screen. That omission feels intentional, and it has many players speculating that it’s setting up Trunks’ involvement in Xenoverse 3.
It’s not a huge window into Xenoverse 3’s world, but it does provide a clear thread tying the two games together. The moment functions as a sweet extra flourish for Xenoverse 2’s closing, even if it would likely have felt more dramatic if Xenoverse 3 hadn’t already been formally revealed.
Where to play
I recently had a hands-off preview of Xenoverse 3, and it already gives the impression that the series is taking a significant step forward.
